Al Cuore del Borgo was the perfect place to experience the beauty and charm of Castelmezzano. Comfortable, welcoming, and ideally located in the heart of one of Italy's most breathtaking villages. Waking up surrounded by the Lucanian Dolomites was unforgettable.

“Central and well equipped accommodation”
Stunning view from the little balcony. The property is very well equipped. There is a pellet stove to keep you warm All kinds of amenities to make your stay pleasant. Very central in town and just a few steps away from restaurants and a few bars. A very good way to explore this town. Luca, your host is very effective and responds very fast on any enquiry. We had a very nice stay.

“A must-see, must-stay village but you MUST stay with Al Cuore del Borgo!”
Castelmezzano is a quaint little village which is a must-see. Al Cuore del Borgo is located in a great place with an amazing view of the Dolomites. The apartment itself was fully furnished & lacked nothing. Luca met us himself, & showed us around the apartment & shared local information too. Such a great host & an awesome personality.

“Breathtaking mountain village”
Castelmezzano is a mountain village (with a zip line for the hardy traveller) with astonishing views. Its history dates back to the Normans (and further) with plenty of evidence of their presence still able to be seen. Accomodation had everything a traveller might need with decor reminiscent of the 1960s. Dined at possibly the best pizzeria so far on our journey. Community life still apparent here as the piazza near the church fills in the evening for gossip and card playing.

The view from the room was stunning and it was equipped with a kitchen, living room, dining table and bathroom. Plenty of beds to choose from between the two of us. Close to restaurants and attractions but a very nice place to relax.

“Comfortable base for hiking in the surroundings.”
the view from the bedroom is beautiful. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is enough heating in all rooms for when you're staying there in a colder period of the year. It's centrally located in the village in a typical Castelmezzano house. We did some hiking around the village. the 7 stones path is famous, but there are also the routes 710 and 711 (we found directions at the two different entrances into the village, on a big sign) which are worth it.
