Villa Di Capovento was a serene and very welcoming space. From the moment we arrived, our hosts, Stella and Ettori, made us feel at home! The Villa was also very centrally placed for lots of day trips if we were keen to explore the region.It was an oasis in the Chianti hills that we will visit again!!

Villa di Capovento is a quite exceptional place in the middle of the Chianti Hills. About 5 minutes drive on a (good condition) white road "Strada Bianche", it is wonderfully isolated. Our hosts Ettore and Stella offer the Best anyone can dream of for a relaxing stay: Great Swimming Pool & outside area for reading, everything Home-made on breakfast and dinner, guidance about loop walking trails from the Villa (with various duration and level of difficulty). The room was clean, comfortable and we enjoyed sunsets on the balcony. The villa is a perfect quiet place surrounded by nature (pheasants, ducks, deers, guinea fowls, etc...).

Literally everything, from the very first second after parking Ettore and Stella were there to welcome us and we felt their kindness and great hosting through the whole stay. Such a lovely, peaceful place and surroundings to be at. I'd without a doubt come back!

Everything we love Italy and this looked like the perfect place to relax and chill out also a base to return to after a day out. The hosts are exceptional and will do anything to help your holiday adventure. The cook is magnificent and cooks traditional family food also the menu changes daily and if there is a dish you would like it’s not a problem. Stella the main host is wonderful always happy and bright her knowledge of the food and wine is second to none she really makes your holiday perfect, the staff are all friendly and do an excellent service.

Perfect villa in Chianti, beautiful views, nice pool, very good breakfast, delicious dinner. Stella and Ettore went above and beyond, even took us from/to the bus stop! Good hiking routes and wineries nearby. We would stay there again!

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful. The hosts? Incredibly kind, warm, and helpful – it felt less like visiting a hotel and more like staying with family… the kind of family you actually want to stay with. They were always ready with advice on what to see and where to go, almost as if they could read our minds. And the food… oh, the food. Pure poetry on a plate. Simple, yet a true feast for the senses. Each meal was so good it made me consider applying for permanent residency – in the kitchen. Villa di Capovento is not just a hotel. It’s a home, one that makes every guest feel both special and completely at ease. It’s not just a place you visit; it’s a place your heart insists you return to.

Villa di Capovento is in an exceptional, peaceful location, with fabulous views and excellent outdoor facilities - lovely pool and lots of different seating areas. Stella and Ettiore were great hosts - very welcoming - and the various breakfasts and evening meals were delicious - all home-made produce, which was beautifully presented and served by Stella. We had a wonderful couple of days in this beautiful spot and will definitely be returning.

Perfectly peacefully villa, lovely hosts and great food. Cannot recommend enough, was so good I extended my stay. Great deep pool, charming views, awesome breakfast, very comfortable rooms, and amazing dinners on site each night. A perfect Tuscany stay.

“Genuinely exceptional.”

Villa Di Capovento is genuinely exceptional. Stella and Ettore were utterly fantastic hosts - extremely friendly and welcoming without being at all overbearing. They are clearly exceptionally proud of their hotel (which is also their home) - and rightly so. The location is stunning, and wonderfully peaceful. The swimming pool is large and quiet and there are multiple areas to relax. The food is fantastic, with a local emphasis - and worth significantly more than the very reasonable prices they charge. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Overall, I couldn’t recommend Villa Di Capovento more highly.

Everything about this stay was wonderful - the property is beautiful and has all the luxuries and comforts you need. However, it’s being welcomed into Stella and Ettore home that makes it so special, the lovingly home cooked meals and service were beyond our expectations! We have not eaten as well since our stay - it truly is a slice of paradise!

There are no words to describe how wonderful our stay was… everything was perfect. From the moment we drove in, our bodies just relaxed and almost taken to fairy land! We had a very nice stay The hosts created a calm comfortable atmosphere. The surroundings, food and wine was amazing. Could recommend wine tasting. Very clean and stylish. If we are in the area we will definitely come back.

“Quintessential Chianti”

We adored our stay at Capovento. We wished for the time to stay still. The accommodation is wonderful, the food and wine lovely, the hosts incredibly generous and welcoming. The grounds are pure poetry. We took one of the walks they suggested: quintessential Tuscany (Chianti) what you see in the photographs about it, that’s what you’re in the middle of there. We hope we will be able to go back.

“Amazing, amazing, amazing”

So amazing we immediately extended our stay by another night. Stella and Ettori were absolutely wonderful. Super helpful, friendly and ensured our experience was perfect. We had dinner at the restaurant each night which was a different menu each night and always delicious. The pool was amazing and views all around were wonderful. Lovely walking/hiking tracks around which they have provided maps for and QR codes for your phone maps too.
