Although dated it had been extremely well cared for and everything was clean and characterful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even arranged for a mechanic to come to our car when we had problems. Superb service. And just the road is a fantastic restaurant.

Villa Critina is located right on the Via Romea Sanesi which we were walking, so the location was perfect. We found the staff to be pleasant and very helpful, although we did not have the opportunity to meet with the proprietor. Breakfast was fine. The rooms were airy and comfortable, with all necessary facilities. Good value for money.

The villa has a pleasant old-world atmosphere and some authentic charm, even though parts of the property feel quite dated. One of the main advantages is the opportunity to stay in Castellina at a reasonable price compared with many other options in the area.

Easy self check-in, great breakfast, great location in walking distance to town centre.

Views of the surrounding Tuscan hills from the Tower room are fantastic. Staff, both Paolo and the owner Francesco are exceptionally friendly and helpful with advice on the area. Room spacious and very comfortable. Great choice of restaurants within 10 minutes walk away.

Staying at this villa felt like a dream. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the charming town center. From the moment we arrived, Francesco made us feel incredibly welcome — greeting us with a delicious glass of wine. We also dined at his restaurant, which truly elevated the entire experience. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The garden and pool area offered such a peaceful escape — the perfect place to relax. Breakfast each morning was fantastic, and the warm, thoughtful hospitality made me feel completely at home. Francesco’s kindness really brought everything together. I would happily return again and again!

Beautiful room in a lovely house. Short 10 min walk to lovely village for many restaurants and bars and shops. Nice breakfast.

The village of Castellina in Chianti is located in the area where the magnificent Chianti Classico red wine is produced. In its surroundings, remarkable landscapes are revealed, many of which can be emblematic of Tuscany and in particular of the famous wine region. The hotel "Villa Christina" is located at the end of the village and offers convenience for a short stay. In the morning we were offered a good breakfast with excellent Italian coffee.
