The welcomeness, kindness and helpfulness of the staff makes the score that high. Otherwise It’s exactly was we expected as shown in the pictures and description. Great quiet location and nice pool. The apartments are not modernized from the inside and maintain the old interior but that was expected .

“A wonderful place to stay”

We loved the location of this welcoming accommodation, the beauty of the surroundings has to be seen to be believed. It is restful and spending a couple of hours lying by the pool or sitting gazing at the views felt very special. The Relais is within a15 minute drive of Castellina in Chianti which is a lovely village with several good restaurants. The apartments were traditionally Italian and were very clean and spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast each morning. There are lots of small villages to visit within easy driving distance as well as the more well known attractions of Siena and San Gimignano. Whilst we were there we had an incident with our rental car which was quite difficult to deal with because we were in the middle of a national holiday period. Ilaria and Sonia were absolutely wonderful in helping us sort out our problem. They were very proactive and did everything they could to ensure our holiday was not spoiled by the incident. Marvellous people! You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

“The most wonderful place we have stayed in in the past 6 years!”

This place is a gem. And before I continue, I want to talk about the staff. Seriously they are the most delightful, the most pleasant, the most helpful, the most caring and the most intelligent staff of any accommodation we have stayed in over the past 6 years.....no exaggeration, just superior. If possible they would rate 15 out of 10! On google maps it looks like it is in the middle of nowhere. And in a way it is. But it is in the middle of the most beautiful 'nowhere'! The scenery, completely surrounding you is magnificent. It is quiet and peaceful and charming. A mixture of green rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves, forests and classic Italian farmhouses. To die for! And yet you are only 10 minutes to the village of Castellina in chianti, with beautiful shops and more restaurants than you can imagine. It is also only about 15 minutes from one of the biggest supermarkets I have been in in Europe, in the town of Poggibonsi. While you have breakfast you can look across the valley and clearly see San Gimignano only about 25 minutes drive away.And it is within easy drive of numerous other well known places, like Siena for example. I really could go on and on, but I want you to read this review. Just take it from us, if you miss out on staying here, well, I have at least tried to tell you to do so.

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and views. The whole property is charming, peaceful, and very well maintained. The location is also a huge plus. It is a perfect base for exploring the area, with everything nearby. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

It was a beautiful property located with panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside on all sides. Beautiful sunset spot. The service was impeccable and all the staff were extremely helpful and nice.

We stayed here for 2 nights during the off season (November). Found it great value - room was clean with consistent heating & hot water temps. Having access to a kitchenette was a bonus as well and really helped with cooking some meals. While breakfast wasn't provided via their standard buffet, they were kind enough to prepare some sweet & savory options (alongside milk & OJ) in our kitchenette when we arrived, so that we could self service throughout our stay. Service was excellent, super friendly, and nothing was too much trouble.

Beautiful agroturismo close to Florence and Siena. A great location for day trips to see Tuscany. It had an onsite restaurant which was convenient and delicious.
