“Overnight stop on cycle tour from St Malo to Nice.”
A lovely Provençal hotel in the beautiful small hill town of Castellane. Very smart restaurant serving excellent food, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable well fitted bedrooms with modern bathrooms. The hotel also provided safe storage for our cycles. Location is excellent with access to the Gorge du Verdon with all of its possibilities for outdoor adventure.

This village is small but wonderful. All the hotels cater for adventurers so it's a no frill hotel, enough to get a good night's rest.

“Highly recommend Castellane a very Historic Village to visit.”
Hotel was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was plenty full. Staff were very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel we stayed for 2 nights. Evening meals are excellent very tasty and filling. Castellane: two hour drive from Nice. Use the A8 Peage to Grasse. Much quicker than the local roads. Location was excellent for a small village there was plenty going on. Market day in the square on Saturday morning, lots of lovely fresh fruit, vegetables. Fresh meat, fish. https://www.verdontourisme.com/en/informations/patrimoine-culturel-en/chapelle-notre-dame-du-roc-en-4774484id/ Chapelle notre dame du roc is a must to walk up to visit. This location is perfect to stay if you are going to Gorges de Verdon. Another epic place to visit. Canoeing on the gorge just amazing 🤩

Large bedroom and bathroom, including lovely big walk in shower. Shared, secure, covered parking. Friendly staff. On site restaurant for a good evening meal overlooking the town square - ideal location.
