“Memorable with its setting and host.”
The setting is stunning and the history was really interesting. It's great to stay at a castle! The host was quite a character with a big personality. Turns out he is a Count and grew up in the castle. He is also related to the WW1 pope. He didn't speak English but we had fun trying to communicate with Google translate. He gave me a private tour of the castle, drove me to town and offered to take me to a party on the Saturday night. He told me his grandmother's ghost had been seen by his mother but she didn't go near the hostel bedrooms. I was intrigued but scared, too. The cat was in my room and jumped on me in the dark just as I was trying not to think about the ghost. It gave me such a fright but I laughed about it with the host and said I enjoyed its company despite this.
