Overview
Il Lavatoio Dimora Storica offers rooms in Castel Di Sangro, in the heart of the Apennine Mountains. The lobby incorporates a 18th-century restored wash house. Rooms are set over the 2 floors, or in one of the towers. All come with a TV and private bathroom. Some have a balcony with views over the town. Breakfast is available daily, including both sweet and savoury options. Guests can relax in the extensive garden area or in the shared lounge that includes a fireplace and a small bar. Many outdoor activities are available in the surrounding area, including hiking, cycling and horse riding. The hotel is just a 20-minute drive from the Abruzzo National Park and 15 minutes' by car from the ski resort of Roccaraso. The town of Roccaraso is 9 km away.

Historic and rooms were spacious and clean. Not as noisy as we had thought and lovely views of the mountains.

Very nice location, in the middle of an old part of town with great views, classic, artsy interior. Nice space to relax, beautiful art work. Authentic.

Beautiful redone property with great details. Comfortable beds and bathrooms. Bell does chime every 15mins but it was fine for us, even at night. Nice classic breakfast. Easy walk into town. Easy parking. Would stay again

“wonderful mountain panorama, warm hospitality, tranquillity.”
Everyting about this hotel is truely fantastic. The facilty is located on the top of a mountain in the miidle of the village. It is an authentic clothes washing spot where the women of the village came to wash and exchange news. all has been wonderfully restored. In the winter this property also functions as a guest house for skiing. The service is a mix of southern hospitality and nothern efficiency. Comes highly recommended.

What a lovely place! The hosts were so welcoming and supportive. Thanks to their perfect English they could recommend great Restaurants and helped us a lot during the stay. Especially in times of Covid-19 we felt very well thanks to the good hygiene concept.
