The accommodation is best accessed with an agricultural vehicle. There’s no proper road, and smaller vehicles might get damaged. We literally went off the map. The location only shows up on Google Maps if you enter the exact coordinates. No other GPS will lead you there because the road doesn’t exist on maps. Getting there is complicated, and none of this is mentioned in the listing. The host is kind but only speaks Italian. Without knowledge of the language, you’ll just end up smiling at each other. There are no shopping options within 10 km. This is not the kind of place where you “quickly run to the store for breakfast.” The pool was unusable, which also wasn’t mentioned beforehand, even though the weather would’ve been perfect for it. That was a big disappointment. There are no sun loungers or any kind of outdoor furniture in the garden – it's basically unusable for relaxation. The house itself is relatively well-equipped and clean. Towels were provided, though this wasn’t specified. The interior is tastefully decorated and authentic. However, there’s a strong musty cellar smell in the house, which sticks to your clothes after a few days. It was also very cold inside – we were freezing. The boiler was filled with fuel on the first day, which we used up by the next. The temperature dropped below 10°C at night, and we nearly froze. We tried heating the house every night using the electric oven. We sent an SMS to the provided phone number (in Italian using a translator), but nothing changed, so we continued to heat with the oven for the rest of the week. There is air conditioning upstairs, so at least it was possible to heat the room on that level. Some people (?) living there rearranged their space every day at 5:30 AM, which could be heard clearly from the guest side. They don’t speak any other language either, so don’t expect to sleep in. You’ll see the host again at the end, when they come to collect €100 for cleaning.
