Overview
Offering a swimming pool, wellness area and panoramic views across the surrounding Umbrian hills, Grand Hotel Elite is 800 metres from the pilgrimage site of the Basilica of Santa Rita. Elite is in the centre of Cascia, ideal for exploring the surrounding towns in the green region of Umbria. Popular local activities include horse riding and canoeing down the Nera River. The ski slopes of Terminillo and Selva Rotonda are just 10 km away. Back at the hotel, you will find extensive grounds that include a pool and large sun terrace and a sports field for tennis and five-a-side football. Indoors, there is a gym, hot tub and sauna. Rooms at the Elite Grand Hotel have a classic design. They come with air conditioning, a TV and a private bathroom with hairdryer and toiletries. “Wished we could have stayed longer to experience the full range of activities”
This is a classy establishment with very helpful staff (they even made scrambled eggs for our daughter) and reasonably sized rooms. The spa looked great but we arrived late afternoon and returned too late to take advantage of it. Plenty of parking on site and because it is in its own grounds outside of the town it was very quiet.

“disappointing”
I stayed there on my first night on the Cammino di San Benedetto. It's positioned right on the route before going into Cascia. The room was clean.
