Decent place to stay in Cartago. When we arrived we were downgraded to bunk beds rather than a double, but we were refunded the difference so we didn't mind.

This was a great stop on our way from Pacific to the Caribbean Sea. We really enjoyed the stay even though it was only for one night. The hosts were very friendly and nice, ready to help whenever we needed anything.

The location was good. The host was easy to communicate with, friendly and easy going. They made a garage available for our hire car. The room was a little small, the shower didn’t look very good and the sink in the filet room moved around. We also couldn’t get any hot water to the tap in the common kitchen. Overall the accommodation was a little old and dated but we also felt it was almost worth what we paid. I must say though that Rolland was very nice.

The owners of the property are friendly and helpful. The place is not on a busy road, it's easy to get around on foot. The property has a lovely central little garden, with fairy lights they turn on in the evening. It was a lovely place to stay.

Kitchen, clean bathroom and room, wifi

Fantastic place, really comfortable, excellent wifi, secure parking for the motorcycles, use of the kitchen, even advice on local sights, tours, places to eat etc.

The owners were very nice people. I only stayed for 1 night as they were totally booked for the next night or I would have stayed longer.

If you are wanting to visit Cartago for a few days, this is a great place to stay. Solo or family Randall and Yvonne handled my booking with care and gave clear instructions on how to find their home. The bedroom I had was clean and comfortable. Kitchen is fine and seating area is adequate. I have no problem with cats, but be aware that the hosts have a couple of beloved cats!

“Best stay in Costa Rica!”

The hosts spoke great english and were super nice, they basically booked the tickets to Irazú volcano for us, told us all about the bus there, let us leave our baggage after check out with them and made us a great breakfast for a reasonable price. The room was clean, the bathroom too and beds were fine. They were really sweet and had a cute cat! :-)

Very nice stay & hosts with a very sweet cat! There is a free garage and Cartago center can be reached within 10-15 minutes by foot.

Very warm and friendly welcome. Easy Check-In and open minded if you need any help. The room was awesome for the 2 nights we feel very comfortable. We could also Use the Garage for our car that was awesome.

“Horrible check-in process”

We booked a double room with private bathroom. We liked the room, and we think it was quite comfortable and quiet. Also it had TV and a terrace. Private parking and good Wifi signal were also a plus.

The house is pretty good

Amazing value for money with a lovely host and the sweetest cat ever! The shared kitchen was also by far the nicest shared kitchen we've had in Costa Rica

This is a great place. Excellent value. Very calm nice ambience. The garden is very nice to enjoy and relax. Breakfast is wonderful and a great price (and so is the laundry). The staff are super. A good option is to stay here and use it as a base camp for Cartago, but also the area around which has many nice things to do and see. Super comfortable.

Breakfast included good helpings and good assortment. Ready on time. Willingness to suit dietary inclinations. Particularly important was the safe indoor parking that allowed us to leave the car and contents without worry. Very guest centered. The patio was secluded and pleasant. We would gladly stay again since the pricing reflected the the rather rough construction
