Old and ugly, extremely noisy, not comfort at all, no amenities ! You pay for nothing ! Cancelled and get out immediately ! Spend the rest of my time at the new one OSH absolutely beautiful !

The hotel is very central to the old town. Once we travelled by taxi from the airport we didn’t need another taxi until we left. Everything of interest is in walking distance. The small pool on the roof was nice with great views of the old city square.

NH is located in the heart of Cartagena's historic center; a city being known for it's warm and tropical climate. It felt like a privilege to enjoy the historic center while still being able to enjoy the fresh and clean rooms when it was getting too warm outside. In the evening, you could easily enjoy Cartegana's nightlife without feeling unsafe.

Hotel is located in a pretty good place to find everything in a walking distance.

“Loud and worn down”

Be aware of room 410!!!! The room is a total mess: especially the bathroom basically falls apart: the sink leaks (there is a constant puddle on the ground), the shelf under the sink almost falls down, the shower cabin doesn’t close, the thing holding the shower head is not fixed to the wall, the toilet set is not attached to the toilet. Also, the door to the room is not mounted to the wall properly, hence people from the hallway can look into the room (!!!) and you hear everything from the hallway. The furniture looks like it is collected from old hotels, with dirt and defects covered. The only window of the room looks at the hotel’s staircase. As there is a review on this room from over a year ago mentioning the same things they do not seem to care. The hotel personnel was not surprised and directly offered to give us a new room from the next day on. The room was an “upgrade” (aka it had a window to the plaza). The new room looked better but still run down. The AC leaks water. Bring ear plugs as the area surrounding the hotel is very loud with many bars, music etc. Without ear plugs there is no chance to get sleep. Would not book again. Other complaints: - pool towels and bed sheets dirty - The AC leaks water and goes on at random times To our friends from the DACH region - don’t book, this hotel will not meet your standards.

The location in the center of the city is perfect and the service received from the employees were perfect.

“Pool with a view”

It has a great location in Centro and close to the sea. The roof terrace looks out onto the sea and one of the central squares, great people watching. Also a lovely rooftop pool, great to freshen up day or night time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was great, I noticed non residents coming in to eat there, and the lifts were super fast. An excellent base for exploring Cartagena.
