“Ok hostel in good location”
Good location. Our room didn’t have a window but was clean and had a good shower and comfortable bed. We had to leave early so couldn’t comment on the breakfast. Good location on old town. Veranda overnight street and a kitchen and small lounge area to use. Free water from a large container so less plastic waste.

“Cute hostel in the central and quiet ancient street of Cartagena”
Staff! :) Réception ladies are super helpful and kind! They kept our backpacks after check out and gave us a chance to take a shower before our long flight. Also, the location is 10/10 calm and at the same very central and safe.

“basic but very clean and very well located”
I personally loved it. Breakfast is also good (from 8 to 10 am) and access to a full kitchen comes in handy. It is quiet and feels more like a small hotel than a hostel. It has multiple electricity outlets in the room, which is great. Location is unbeatable, in the middle of all the action, and still not too noisy.

“Good location”
First the staff were really lovely. Super helpful & kind, the breakfast was nice. We had 2 different rooms as we went to the beach in the middle of our stay. The first room was amazing, it was a double room with a balcony and we can’t fault it.

The location of the Hostal is exeptional, everything is really close by. The personal is very friendly as well and the room has everything you need.

All the staff here were so lovely, the beds were super comfy, good breakfast, clean establishment, complimentary fresh cold water, good breakfast (the best eggs we had in all hostel breakfasts in colombia), i usually would hate no window but here it works as the street is nosy allows you to get a good nights sleep.

The people working at El Barrio Hostal are the nicest ever: always smiling, super helpful, accommodating and always willing to have a chat. I had to leave the hostel super early in the morning for two days in a row and they prepared my breakfast in the evening and left it in the fridge for me to have it ready in the morning. Also, the breakfast is tasty. The location is tactical: in the city centre but not on a busy street, so there's almost no noise.

“Cosy hostel in the old city”
Lovely hostel with private rooms in the old city. The staff were lovely, the breakfast was simple but delicious and the beds were comfortable. There was a kitchen and communal eating/relaxation area that we didn't use but looked very cosy. Important for Cartagena as it is so hot - there was very good AC in the room and also a cold drinking water machine in the kitchen.

“Comfortable Quick Trip”
Comfortable stay and extremely great value for its location inside the centro historico. Room had everything I needed, and the common areas was very ample and clean with a very strong Internet access. Next door is the coffee shop where the included breakfast was offered, which was nice. Staff were all extremely nice and friendly and helped me with any questions or needs I had. Would stay here again
