The staff were super helpful when we had a problem checking in and helped us to change our reservation, very flexible. Delicious breakfast. Comfy room with a large bed and AC which is needed in the heat of Cartagena! In such a fab location if you’re looking for vibes and atmosphere.

Staff was very friendly and the location is right in the middle of the Getsemani district, so all bars and restaurants are in walking distance. The breakfast was very good, except the coffee. What you get is OK and fair for the price you pay.

We stayed 7 nights. the best thing about Casa Renacer was the breakfast, Maria & her family. The owner, Maria Jose, made extra effort for guests to customise the meals to preference. We wanted to try typical breakfast & the food was varied each of our day from Arepas to slightly different combinations of tropical fruit. Maria Jose was friendly & helpful, and made effort to communicate with us in English as our Spanish was basic. the room and bathroom was clean w amenities like soap & shampoo, shower mat, hand towel, bath towels & cleaned 3x during our stay. The area is lively, right in the centre of local nightlife (therefore it is noisy in the evenings until late). Luckily we got the end-room next to the kitchen, which was the furthest from the road and quietest, with a decent sized bathroom and shower. The AC also worked well. The room, typical for most of the tropical weather coast of columbia, had cold showers but we got used to it. the wifi worked well in the common areas. There is a small shared kitchen to store a limited amount of things like cold beer. This is a small boutique style family run homestay/ hotel with 4 rooms. This is best suited for a short stay, to explore the nightlife in Getsemani and Centro Historico. Maria Jose & her family were great. we met her kids, her cousins, all friendly and lovely people. Because of the huge amount of rain during rainy season, our room had a leak, but Maria was accommodating to resolve the issue, and put extra towels to soak up the water. The decor was quaint and feminine.

The location was great. Just off the main square in Getsemani so felt very safe and close to the action. Our private room was far away from the street which meant no windows or view but a silent night's sleep. Breakfast each day was different and very very delicious, cooked to your preference and generous.. Good wifi, comfy beds and clean.

Staff is friendly and coperative. They cleaned the room everyday. Location is good. They offered me vegetarian breakfast. The food was tasty.

“Joy and laughter”

Location is brilliant, and for me, you are jn the best part of town. Restaurants and bars all around you. It is a great vibrant atmosphere and less hassle with the street sellers than in other parts of the old town. The place has everything you need, and the two ladies who look after you are wonderful. Their laughter was a joy to hear and they can not do enough for you. Was a lot of fun with the language barriers. Plus, behind the scenes is Maria, the owner who speaks very good English. Breakfast omelette, juice, coffee, toast, and fruits are very good, i have to say. The place has a nice charm about it, especially the breakfast area. Is it the quietest place? No, it is not as you are for me in the coolest place in town, and it's alive, so you will hear life outside your room. However, I slept very well on the comfy bed. So unless you are a light sleeper, then you should be fine Sadly, I have forgotten the names of the two ladies who look after you, but it's worth staying at the place just for their entertainment and the way they make you feel at home.

Casa Renacer is perfectly located in a beautiful and bustling part of the old town. It looks cute and the staff is welcoming. The breakfast is surprisingly good.

This stay is less like a traditional hotel, more of an Airbnb type, there isn’t always a member of staff there and it is just 4 rooms on a single corridor. This meant that it could get very noisy as you can hear other guests/cleaning staff talking right outside your room. There was also a new bar pop up right outside the place, so loud music until late. Our room didn’t have a window despite that being what we booked (the owner said that the room with window was much louder, which I’m sure is true). It is cheap for Cartengena and not terrible, but not great either

“Great location, but no sleep”

The location is superb and the B&B has a really fair price. The staff was always very friendly. Maria Jose always respons very quickly via Whatsapp and is very helpful.

Casa Renacer is a small, very clean hotel in Getsemani. Maria Jose was so lovely and welcoming. The rooms and the bed were super comfortable and even though we had to leave early in the morning, we got made a delicious fruit platter to go. Would definitely stay here again.

everyone and everything. super nice staff, Helen is genuine and the best ♥️ it’s on the Main Street with a lot of activities. my room was the last one by the kitchen, so it was secluded from the street noise at night.

The breakfast was delicious and the staff was kind and attentive. I got my laundry done there which is a big plus. The owner was a wonderful, helpful woman.
