Hotel Amira was our first experience of Costa Rican hositality after landing in the country and driving to the coast. We had a fantastic stay, staff were very friendly and helpful and could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. Jorge was brilliant and made us feel very welcome. The room and hotel facilities are very pleasant and the breakfast was as good as previous reviewers state. Would definitely go back. Check out the local Soda and Argentinian steak restaurant whilst you're there!

Our stay at this beautiful hotel was simply perfect! The rooms are nice, clean, cozy, and well-appointed, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The view of the swimming pool is beautiful, and the peacefulness of the place made for a truly relaxing experience. A special thanks to the very kind staff, who were always helpful and made us feel at home. The typical breakfast was delicious, featuring local products that added a special touch to our mornings. The nearby beach was really beautiful, with warm sea water and many palm trees providing shade, making it the perfect place to relax in the sun. We highly recommend this place to anyone seeking comfort, excellent service, and an authentic, unforgettable experience.

“Lovely, clean, comfortable Hotel in Puerto Carrillo”
Clean, spacious modern style Hotel in a small village near one of the loveliest beaches in Costa Rica. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable. Air conditioning and a mini fridge and coffee maker were welcome additions. It was great to have a sizeable pool. It was clean and there was ample shaded seating. It was well enjoyed by families. The hotel is an easy 15 minute walk to the stunning Playa Carrillo. We saw beautiful birds and monkeys from the hotel property including parrots and scarlet macaws .There are a few restaurants in the area and a well stocked mini super. It is best to have a car. We did not but the hotel staff helped us arrange taxis as needed. I would recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

“Decent but rather costly for what it is”
Good location in the center of Puerto Carrillo; Beach is accessible by foot (10-15min walk); warm welcome and attentive staff (we could receive another room upstairs when we asked for it right after the check in); complete, traditional breakfast; nice pool!

“Veeery nice”
The hotel was very nice and the staff was so helpful and kind. Even tho the hotel is located a 10 minute walk from Carillo Beach and a 10 minute drive from Samara Beach, I would still highly recommend this hotel for a stay in this area. The staff will in case help with booking of taxi etc.

Beautiful & quiet hotel with spacious rooms! Very much enjoyed our stay here- staff were very helpful and kind. Within walking distance from all of the restaurants in town, a bit farther to the beach but still do-able. Delicious breakfast also
