Nice, clean and comfy place in beautiful area with awesome people. We loved the pool, the animals, the food and the relaxed atmosphere. You need a car, but its just a short ride to carrillo or samara beach.

“We were booked elsewhere and didn't like it so this felt like we really scored a winner”
Breakfast was Tipico .. very enjoyable and good surroundings. Mahi chef special was delicious.Best of all was the welcome and friendliness of the owner which always makes for a positive feeling. Garden was beautiful

“Wonderful host, great big spacious room, very good meals.”
Amazing place, great amenities, great pool. During the night you can really see all the stars. The host Erin, is a wonderful host. We kind of got stuck in the middle of the night on our way there since we had some issues with the car rental. The host came for the rescue and picked us up in the middle of the night. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Erin was friendly , welcoming and informative, ensuring that we had everything we needed. She checked to make sure that we were comfortable in our accommodation and were enjoying our stay. She and her husband worked hard to keep the hotel and facilities in good order. The atmosphere at the hotel was, relaxing and very enjoyable. The breakfasts were very good, offering a selection of traditional or American style. The food in general was also freshly prepared and tasty.

“Very restful place.”
The owner was very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a diverse clientele with about equal numbers of North Americans, Europeans and Costa Ricans. That made for a great atmosphere. Extremely restful spot and friendly staff. Though not huge, the pool is larger than many found in more expensive hotels in the area and it is in a great spot.

“I have stayed there for many years, but not since Covid so many changes for everyone all over.”
A good tipical CR breakfast, but would have been better with a choice of the way they cook eggs. I prefer over easy instead of scrambled.

“A great stay spoiled by misleading charges”
Lovely location near beach with super pool and nice staff. Although the restaurant wasn't open we found satisfactory places nearby.

The staff made us feel at home and went the extra mile to make our stay at El Sueno feel extra special and romantic. The facilities are well maintained, food is great, and everything is very clean.

“will definitely be going back there.”
Breakfast was continental. Fruit was excellent. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Room was clean and welcoming. Shower had great pressure. The grounds and pool are well kept. The whole place has been completely renovated.
