“Great stay”

Veronique was an exceptional host, both before and during our stay. Very welcoming, friendly and thoughtful to our needs. La Chamade is a great location for visiting Mont Saint-Michel, and the beach at Carolles was well worth a visit, being so close to the property. Great rooms for family, large, clean, 2 seperate rooms - 1xtwin, 1xdouble. The gardens are large with plenty to entertain the children ie trampoline, sand pit, tree house and more. The breakfast provided was wonderful and beyond our expectations. Will definitely visit again and recommend too.

We were in this magnificent place for Easter. The idea was to find a location for our family and my best friend's family close to Mont Saint Michael. And it is the perfect location. From all points of view. When you enter the village the houses are spread along the road but closer you get to the property is like you enter a forest, at least the last part of the road. By the way....it is the last property from the road. After the house it is the forest path which will take you to Cabane Vauban, a place on top of the mountain from where you can see in distance the Mont Saint Michael. You can take the forest marked path or after we took that we discovered that is a parking for cars close to cabane. But of course the forest path was much more adventurous. From the property till cabane is like a 30 min forest walk. We were welcomed by Veronique's mother, a lovely lady who instantly reminded me that I still understand the French language (she talks a bit of english). The suite is equipped with a double very comfortable bed, with its own bathroom and an attic with 2 beds. Lots of clothes deposit closets, a tv. The windows have external blinds so for those who are sensitive to light in the mornings, here definitely can sleep long. The WiFi was not working at all. The property has 2 suits, so if you are a group it is all yours. The owner is living in the same house but you are not disturbed at all. They are invisible. You have free parking at the property.We also have breakfast included. At 08:00 o'clock Veronique already arranged the table with a lot of traditional french croissants,  coffee, milk and homemade jams. Those are amazing, especially the pear with vanilla jam. Everyday was a different type of breakfast. From there you have like 40km till the castle. The parking for all day was 17 euros/car. You can pay with a card or cash at a parking ATM. The bus schedule is free and the line of waiting is very quiqly. Entrance price 11 euro/adult.
