We particularly liked the owners as we were of similar age. The surroundings were tranquil and restful. The property was at the end of a cul de sac and perfect for our needs.

“Private and idyllic family stay in Tuscany”

The location is brilliant and idyllic, it's very private, so perfect for either families or couples. The house is lovely, and exactly as per the photos, everything is very well looked after, the house, the garden, the swimming pool. There is a super market 10 minutes from the house, and some restaurants and pizzerias 5 minutes from the house, so it was great to do a mixture of eating out and eating in, specially with a 5-year old girl who was tired at the end of the day. I specially loved having breakfast outside. Elena was waiting for us with the keys and made us feel very welcome. From there we visited Pisa, Siena, Florence and the Chianti area. We'll definitely come back as we're already missing it

La Sassaia is a spectecularly beautiful place with a lovely and helpful host (and her two adorable dogs :) We really enjoyed our stay. Firenze is very easy to reach so we could enjoy both the city and the countryside.

Very relaxed atmosphere and reception. Good focus on hospitality: always helpful, genuine and kind, never in the way. Kids loved it, especially the pool and dogs. Beautiful garden, with a very fancy feel to it.

We had a wonderful stay in our little villa.It was clean &fully equipped for our stay. The pool was clean and refreshing, the garden peaceful and relaxing. The host was very friendly and gave us some wonderful advice. We enjoyed the company of the 2 friendly dogs that loved to be patted. Beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside with wonderful memories to cherish.

This is the most perfect place to stay for families or couples, comfortable apartment with everything we could need set in beautiful grounds with olive trees, woods and vineyards. The pool was great for cooling off and we struggled to keep our daughter out of it! It was perfect for her as she could run around bare foot and play without us having to be too vigilant as the gated grounds felt secure and safe. The area was peaceful and quiet with little road noise, just the occasional live music from across the valley which was a fab accompaniment to a relaxing afternoon in the garden! Location wise it has several supermarkets within 15 minutes, shops in the nearby town and plenty of restaurants though we didn't eat out. It's a great base to explore northern tuscany and we did day trips to pisa, lucca, Florence, volterra etc with no problems. The host is lovely and bosco and Mia the dogs are absolute softies. There are three apartments but we never felt intruded upon, each has it own outdoor seating area and felt very private. Highly highly recommended

There is everything you need to just relax. Location is ideal for trips to Florence, Pisa, Siena or other locations around. Elena and her husband are really nice and their dogs Bosco and Mia were so friendly. Nice garden with olive trees, kitchen with everything you need, super comfortable beds, nice bath room, washing machine. Really discreet place when you can take rest. 🙂
