We stayed for 3 nights at the end of May 2026 as a family of four (2 adults and 2 small children) in the upper apartment and had a wonderful stay. The apartment was exactly as described and matched the photos. It was exceptionally clean, looked recently renovated, and had beautiful, stylish Tuscan decor. The beds were very comfortable, including the pull-out sofa bed. The location was great, surrounded by nature and very close to restaurants. A special highlight of our stay was the beautiful natural surroundings. We loved seeing a lizard, an horse and especially the fireflies at night – a magical experience for our children and for us. We would happily stay here again and recommend it to other families.

We had a great stay! Jacopo is a wonderful host. The communication was super clear and the place is a 5 star. The apartment is very clean and spacious. The view on the terrace is the prettiest ever, couldn’t get enough of it.

Everything!!!!! The view is off this world. The apartment is modern version of old school Tuscany home. The hosts were amazing, kind, helpfull and informative. The local wine is *chefs kiss*.

“Picture perfect Tuscany experience”

Sotto la Rocca is set on the top of a ridge with the most amazing views of the valley, giving you the pure essence of Tuscany. The apartment has a huge bathroom and amble space for a family of four. With a car it’s easy to visit other towns within the region including Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano and Sienna. The town centre is a few minutes walk where you can find a number of places to eat. Our host Jacopo made sure we had everything we needed and was kind enough to tell us about their family’s production of olive oil and wine. We loved our stay here!

This is the most amazing place on earth we've ever been to. If you're looking for a luxurious living plus the ultimate experience of Tuscany authentic vibes, this is the place. Magnificent view of the valley overlooking vineyards and Olive trees, where you can stroll in the afternoon. Ultra clean, spotless accommodation with immaculate touch. Jacopo was the most friendliest and welcome host we've ever come across, who was always reachable and flexible and wound go an extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. Even before the beginning of the stay, Jacopo was sending me all the details about the accommodation, how to get there, the wineries around and all the information you can imagine. If you could imagine the ultimate hospitality, you could anticipate it from this amazing place. Further, me and my family with two children were on our way and we went on a pothole and two tyres were flat and Jacopo was so kind to send his dad to that location to give us a lift with all our baggages and didn't ask us to pay a penny extra. We will remember you for the rest of our lives, Jacopo's dad, such a lovely man, we regret that we couldn't say goodbye, but we found your lovely car by the parking bay, and we said goodbye, Lol. The WiFi air con beds and facilities were more than which was described and there was a lovely wine offered to us in checking in. BTW, Don't forget to visit this winery Fabrizio Pratesi Winery (Via Rizzelli, 9, 59011 Carmignano PO, Italy) which is just 6 minutes drive. You'll get an Unforgettable experience.

“Exceptional”

Very authentic setting. Only 3/4 rooms and you get to know the others well on the shared balcony. Staff were exceptional and very keen to help.

Great great view. Everything was as mentioned. The owner was very kind and supportive. He also sent instruction videos how to get to the house, which were very helpfull and honestly not very common. We appretiated them much as we felt more confortable and after long drive it made our navigation much easier. The structure was beatifull with nice terras with one of the most estunishing views on the Firenze valey.

Lovely views from terrace, very clean place, good instrucktions about everything. Jacopo answered allways very quickly and was very helpfull. Communication was trough whatsapp. There are restaurants and pizzeria near by.

The appartement was very clean, well-equipped, the view from the terrace beautiful, as the pictures shows. The owner's support and helpfulness is excellent, the location is perfect as a starting point of journeys. Carmignano is a nice city in pleasing landscape with nice bars and restaurants, close to Florance.

We have decided to live a bit in the country but still close to Fierenze! The apartment/house is just beautiful! the view from the terrace and the surroundings are just perfect! We really enjoyed our stay! The property manager was friendly and very helpful! Highly recommended!

The place is very nice and clean, with an amazing view. The family who hosted us is also very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful experience at Sotto la Rocca.

The whole setting and atmosphere are amazing. Starting from the incredible view to the beautiful rustic accommodation that blends in with the surroundings. Everything was perfect. A beautiful place to truly experience Tuscany. I highly recommend it.
