I have been staying at this chain for years but normally Svendgaards inn. As this has now closed, I tried the Wayside inn and it felt familiar and comforting.

more water available on the upper floors. the lobby was shut when we reached so we had to walk around and wait for hours till someone got back to us.

Rooms were spotlessly clean. Great location. Housekeeping were excellent. comfortable bed very cozy.

The check in was very pleasant. We were offered an upgrade without even a request. There were complimentary reusable water bottles waiting in the room. Complete kitchen facilities. Basic utensils. We were also allowed to park in their lot hours before check-in. Check-in clerk also helped with a minor first aid situation. Cheers!!!!

The bed was like a cloud!!! The room felt traditional yet updated! The staff were so helpful with us arriving late. There were nice little touches everywhere (like leaving music on when we arrived), coffee & water in the room, a small breakfast, etc. And the location was perfect to walk everywhere!

“It was only one night and we had to check in late at 4:00 pm and leave at 11:00 am”

the bathroom did not have a door, it was connected to both living area and bedroom and we had to go thru the bathroom to bedroom, also it had a moisture smell.

The location was great. The hotel was quiet but just a block from many restaurants and shops. The 50s retro style and large suites were a plus. The parking was very convenient. Although not a service-based hotel, the front desk handled all questions and minor issues.

Perfect location, quiet. Nice coffee/breakfast shop across the street as well as restaurants. Staff friendly and knowledgeable.

It is a very good hotel! I was like princess in this wonderful bed! I recommend! Italy style, all is clear, friendly, free water and some snacks

We had the downstairs room that was adjacent to the street. Surprisingly very little traffic noise. The galley kitchen and separate lounge were very useful during our stay. The location was exceptional. Right in the heart of Carmel. Shops, restaurants and beach all within easy walking distance.
