Downtown Carmel is just 5 minutes’ drive from Carmel River Inn. All rooms or cottages offer either a balcony or patio. An outdoor seasonal pool is available. Stayed as part of a couple, loveky spit, spacious & clean room, handy to have a fridge, staff were very helpful, ideal place to stay while exploring PCG1 and the surrounding areas, would recommend and stay again 😊

“Charming riverside cottages with unforgettable atmosphere”
Absolutely loved our stay here — the cottages by the river in Carmel have a unique and cozy charm that made the experience special. Hearing the frogs outside at night added to the peaceful, nature-filled vibe. The cottage was very clean, nicely furnished, and full of character. I’d definitely stay here again. It’s also super close to Point Lobos Natural State Reserve, which we visited the next day and highly recommend.

“Lovely cosy cottage with kitchenette”
Cosy, self contained with kitchenette which was very handy. Liked the 1940s style. Very clean. Beautifully kept grounds with lovely gardens. Despite being close to the main road, there were no concerns about road noise. It was great sitting outside the cottage in the sun having breakfast. Good size under counter fridge.

Decent place and good location for Carmel. Had parking and everything you needed. It was a motel style place and nothing really wrong with the stay. It was good for our stay, no really complaints. Good price for the area.

This is a wonderful place to take your dog with open spaces for short walks. The property is beautifully maintained with unique flowers. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.

“Great inn just off route 1.”
This is a great inn just off route 1. It feels as if it is in the countryside and apparently it has huge grounds. [We didn't have time to explore them.] Our room was very pleasant with a balcony overlooking the creek.

The accommodation we chose was actually a standalone chalet. Very quiet with lots of privacy. The ‘better’ rooms are set well back from Highway 1 and are really nice.
