Barbara was a fantastic host ,her cottage is really beautiful in an amazing setting .cottage was very well equipped and comfortable.

Lovely accommodation with a real cottage feel. The bedroom upstairs was especially comfortable, a large airy room with period furniture and a lovely view The lawns and gardens that the main house and this cottage annexe are set in were gorgeous.

Property & location absolutely perfect. Barbara was very kind making sure I had everything including full breakfast ingredients. Sitting in the courtyard enjoying the irish sunshine was a highlight.

A nicely located pretty looking cottage described to me as ‘luxury’ accommodation. However, it was everything but! On the plus side, the sinks, toilet, bed linen & towels were clean, the kitchen floor was swept and the central areas of carpets were vacuumed, but unfortunately that’s where ‘luxury’ stopped.

It was like home from home! The cottage was very cosy, comfortable and it had everything we needed. Barbara, the owner, lives onsite and she is there should you need advice or anything in relation to the cottage. The cottage is about 30 minutes from Carlow town by taxi which is doable but something to factor in should you be interested in going out while there. We would happily stay here again!

We couldn't have been more comfortable in this beautiful spacious, cosy home. Barbara our host was so welcoming and full of advice on places to visit in the area. Our fridge was full with the essentials for our breakfast 🥞🍳 🥓 🍅 🍞 milk etc, and the kitchen was well stocked with every utensil, dish, pan etc. The Courtyard Cottage is surrounded by a beautiful garden with lovely fields and meadows in view beyond which made for a very peaceful and relaxing break. We will be returning in the not too distant future. 😊

The cottage was well equiped for our needs and set on beautiful grounds. The host was very nice and accomodated us bringing our pet for the few days.

Extremely comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Position was beautiful and so very quiet. The loudest sound was the noise of the swifts swooping over the house.

Our host Barbara went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and gave recommendations of where to visit. We were provided with ingredients for beautiful breakfasts Perfectly located and easy to visit surrounding counties. Cannot recommend this property highly enough We will be back for sure

“Perfect cottage”

The cottage is amazing, it's super spacious and bright. The bathroom is super big and lovely. The kitchen has everything you need to cook anything. Barbara provided breakfast, best bacon, sausages and eggs ever! Barbara is wonderful, gives you advise for places to go and helps you decide, there are many choices! The surroundings of the house are beautiful, the garden, pond, everything, just so well taken care off. In all, it was perfect. It rained and we just stayed watching TV, nothing hampered how great our stay was. We'll be back!
