This Hotel Restaurant is located between Lake Lugano and lake Como. The rooms are specious and very well equipped. The restaurant is the best in the whole Region with fresh food and top pizza choices.

“Amazing hotel and great area, can recommend!”

Very nice hotel with friendly staff in the town of Carlazzo. The hotel is in the upper floor, in the ground-floor you will find a restaurant which belongs to the hotel. There is a large parking space in front of the hotel where you can park for free if you arrive by car. The breakfast was exceptional, there was something to choose for everyone (buns, crossaint, marmelade, cheese, salami, orange juice, fruit salad and more). During my visit the weater was nice, so I had my breakfast outside and I could see the sun rise above the mountains. The staff spoke some English and German, so communication was no issue at all. The rooms were cleaned everyday, which included exchanging the towels. The sofa and the bed were very comfortable and I slept well. I had a small fridge in my room which had some water bottles which they refilled everyday for free. In the bathroom you can find shampoo, soap etc. which you can also use for free. In the evening I visited their restaurant twice during my four-night trip. The pizzas were great both times and the prices are really reasonable. The town of Carlazzo itself is rather small, but you can find a supermarket which is opened 24/7 (Carrefour market on Maps), a station where you can refill your water bottles (see picture, it is at Via Elena 336, near the Piano Mulino bus stop), a post office, several other shops and a few bus stops. I did a hike around the Lago del Piano which included great views of the lake, walking through nature and seeing some old buildings. In the city center there are some lovely houses and small streets. I also travelled to both Porlezza (Lugano lake) and Menaggio (Como lake) by bus - both are around a 15-20 minute ride. But remember to check the bus schedules beforehand, during August they drive more infrequently compared to the other months! Overall, I was really happy with the hotel and the destination and I would recommend it for a trip!

great stay in a well maintained hotel, on top of an excellent authentic restaurant. The friendly staff and owner run both very professional and helpful. Our room was directly above the restaurants garden, but the noise level very okay. Air-conditioning seemed to had a problem, but it was not part of our booking. The breakfast was the best i had for a long time. We we're identified as vegetarians and got the adapted version next day. Excellent 👌🏼 don't miss!

Wonderful hotel! I was disappointed with Milan, there are a lot of visiting emigrants there. But this hotel in the mountains of Lake Como restored my faith in Italy! Great breakfast in the morning, charming restaurant right in the hotel with very tasty food. The room is clean and in good repair. The staff is the best. The hotel is located in the mountains, I recommend it

“Random stop over that turned out to be amazing”

We were exhausted after our long drive and decided to make a last minute stay on the town. We found this place and it was incredible. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant was also really good and had yummy food. Our stay was very comfortable (bed was nice, bathrooms clean, good facility). The breakfast in the morning was great and had a wide selection.

Lovely little family run hotel, food in the restaurant was very good, lots of choice and reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent. Coffee provided in the room :) Staff are great, and the whole place is well looked after and exceptionally clean. We will certainly stay again

“Simply perfect! Highly recommend if you want to feel the real Italian vibe”

Everything was perfect! We liked our big clean room and cozy balcony where we enjoyed Italian wine with a view on mountains (there is a variety of wines in the restaurant and you can also buy a bottle and take it with you). The restaurant deserves separate mentioning too. The food there was delicious. The staff is also very friendly. It was our first trip to Italy and thanks to this guesthouse we fell in love with Italy!

Would have liked the option of having Cereal/Cornflakes, or something along those line. Not everyone has bread and cold meats for breakfast. Parking was secluded for my bike. Location was nice with quiet outside eating area.
