We loved our 6 night stay at Intirumi! Would certainly recommend. Felt like staying with family. The nicest place we’ve ever stayed at in Peru. Loved the food, the cocktails on Friday and Saturday are well worth the trip, relaxed in the garden, enjoyed some really nice excursions and Kelly even went with us to show us the way in the beautiful surroundings. Missing it!

Kelly helped us a lot, arranging taxis and making sure we had something to eat, even when we had to leave early. The place is beautiful and clean. The chef was very good!

The place was super comfy, with great beds and hot water all the time. The mountain view from the restaurant is nice. The internet connection is also excellent. The host helped us find rides to get to the different hiking spots.

“Great stay with amazing food and stunning view”

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kelly’s place! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The location is perfect — peaceful and quiet, yet just a short walk to the city center. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we slept very well every night. One of the biggest highlights was the amazing food! Kelly uses fresh ingredients straight from her own garden, and you can really taste the love and care she and her team put into every meal. Everything was delicious! The mountain view from the property was absolutely stunning — a perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. Whether enjoying breakfast outside or simply unwinding, the scenery added so much to the experience. Kelly herself is a fantastic host — warm, welcoming, and full of great tips and local recommendations that made our stay even more enjoyable. We truly felt cared for and relaxed during our time here. Highly, highly recommend staying at Kelly’s place — it’s a hidden gem and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

Great food, familiar atmosphere, very helpful staff, beatufil views, spacious garden

Staff were great, rooms were great, food was great. Its in a quiet area with beautiful grounds. There was flowing water just outside my window which was nice. Showers were hot and had good pressure. The restaurant had a good variety of cold beer. I got a flat tire the day after my first night and the hotel was able to round up a truck and save me, and I ended up spending a second night.

“Wonderful stay”

What a wonderful, wonderful place. We were pretty uncertain about our plans in the area and Kelly was beyond helpful, giving us (great) suggestions, booking taxis, putting up with all of our logistics so patiently and with so much care! We could not have felt more at home. I had a stressful work call during my stay which required good internet and Kelly gave me access to her office, Ethernet and was so helpful throughout. The internet was amazing! The room is big, comfortable, full of light. The hot bathtub is amazing after days of hiking. The garden is angelical and the food at the restaurant was great as well! Kelly prepared us amazing sandwiches since we couldn’t have breakfast on site. Overall we couldn’t have been happier and wanted to prolong our stay! Thank you Kelly for one of our best stays in Peru!

Everything from the time we arrived until we left was perfect. Kelly is a great host and we were really pleased we stayed here. Go you won’t be disappointed.

“Best stay in Peru: lovely hosts”

Kelly and Mariam are great Hosts and supported us with everything we needed. We loved the concept of sustainability and especially the great food (90% came from their garden oder producers in the neighbourhood) Mariam cooked for us. After some time of travels we felt home and could relax. But even trips to Laguna Paron or Laguna 69 are possible and even closer than from Huaraz. The room was quite big and nicely furnished, showers were hot! In a nutshell we had the best stay in Peru so far!

“Hidden gem”

We truly loved our stay at IntiRumi Inn. The place feels like a piece of heaven on earth. The garden is full of fresh vegetables, flowers, little birds and butterflies. The rooms are spacious, equipped with very comfortable beds and all have a nice bathroom. On top of that you have a spectacular view. But the one thing that really made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional service. Everyone was super friendly and Mariam went out of her way to accommodate us. Every morning we we're spoiled with a splendid breakfast (fresh fruits, pancakes, homebaked bread, eggs and delicious tea) and I had the best pumpkin gnocchi ever for dinner. We also got some really great lunch packages (thank you Nico!) Nothing we asked was too much. Thank you so so much for everything!

“Everything you need in a country inn.”

Very peaceful and friendly place to stay with pleasant gardens and secure parking. Large comfortable room, on site restaurant and bar. We enjoyed talking to the owner over drinks in the bar before having an excellent dinner featuring home-grown ingredients.

Kelly and Mariam were very welcoming. We enjoyed the conversations with them a lot. The breakfast was outstanding and delicious with homemade bread, fresh fruits, yoghurt, egg. They helped us when we had questions and prepared delicious dishes for us, when we were hungry. We felt like in an oasis in the desert.

What a lovely stay. The hosts were warm and very accommodating. Nothing was too much effort when it came to helping me book on to trips, have laundry done etc. and above all the food was divine. A lot of focus on using produce from the garden and being sustainable. Furthermore, the room was spacious, comfy and clean. The property has a lovely garden with gorgeous views of the mountains.I would highly recommend and do hope more people discover this hidden gem in Caraz. I would have happily stayed for longer (if only to see what other lovely dishes they’d come up with) but I had to leave for my trek. Thanks for making me feel at home!

“Choose this place! it’s awesome!”

An amazing place to relax and unwind. Secure parking behind a locked gate for motorcycles and cars and a great place to base yourself to do the full days ride through the Huascaran Park and return to a home cooked meal and craft beer! The hosts are amazing! So kind and friendly. The location is on the edge of Caraz so quiet and the hotel is set in a beautiful working vegetable garden, with views up to the mountain. Beds were so comfy with real cotton thick crisp sheets and soft pillows …it is the best sleep we have had for the past 6 months. Warm showers and lovely soap/shampoo. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and we ate in the on-site restaurant which was “paddock to plate” dishes using veggies and fruit from the garden and locally sourced meats/produce… it was so good to eat healthy!

It’s an exceptional place where we instantly felt like at home. It was a perfect begining to our mountain adventures. The owners are absolutely amazing, warm and welcoming, food is fantastic and an overall atmosphere is so cozy and relaxing. We fell in love with this place and we can’t wait to come back.
