“Birder recommended, value for money, comfort can be improved!”
The best thing about the property is the location. I am a birdwatcher. This is prime birding area in the Carara/Tarcoles region. Until now you will only hear of Cerro Lodge as a recommendation by birders. This is a cheap, value-for-money alternative for those looking to bird on a tight budget in this area. The rooms are OK, nothing much to praise there. But the property is secluded. If there are no other tourists you can have the open pool to yourself. My friend and I enjoyed relaxing there in the evening. The owner is friendly and stayed in touch to ensure we were OK.

“Good for your budget, but little else”
Resolved my curiosity about what living in a shipping container is like. The on-site caretaker, Henry, was excellent. No meals provided. 10 minutes walk to Cerro Lodge hotel, which has a very good restaurant and pizzeria.

“Perfect for value stay in a beautiful off road location surrounded by nature.”
The remoteness of the property, surrounded by the jungle and wildlife, with clean air away from the roads was the best thing about this stay.
