Overview
This rural guest house, set in the southern foothills of the Sierra Nevada, offers free Wi-Fi, and overlooks the Poqueira Ravine. Some rooms have a private balcony with mountain views. Hostal Atalaya en Capileira CB is set in the village of Capileira, in the Sierra Nevada National Park. Behind the Atalaya we find mainland Spain’s two highest peaks, Mulhacén and Veleta. All heated rooms at the family-run Hostal Atalaya en Capileira CB have a private bathroom, with a bath and bathroom amenities. The Atalaya tour desk can recommend nearby scenic routes, as well as local restaurants and bus times for visits to the coast, or Granada, both an hour’s drive away. The ski slopes of Sierra Nevada are around a 2-hour drive away.

“Great value for money in our favourite Alpujarra pueblo”
Perfect hotel with a perfect location, just at the entrace of Capileira: you can park the car in a large public parking in front of the hotel (we arrived on a November Sunday evening and there were plenty of free spaces). Everything -cafès, bars, restaurants, shops, hiking paths etc- is a few minutes away by foot and as a plus you can enjoy beautiful views from the hotel's terrace. The room had everything we needed which makes the value for money unbeatable. Capileira is beautiful - very alive even on weekdays, with lots of thing to do and explore, but at the same time still very authentic: it didn't give us the feeling of being just built for the tourists, but insted well maintained and beloved by its residents. We visited other pueblos of the Alpujarra but Capileira was our favourite. Will definitely come back!

It has this nnice feeeling where you feel a bit like home. All was great from arrival to departure. The rooms were nice and clean. Parking super-close nearby.

“Would have loved to stay longer”
Great location, affordable, very clean. Beautiful flowers out the front. Fan in the room was great and sufficient to keep you cool in summer. Host can speak a little English. Was slightly helpful in giving me information about hiking, but not a lot.

“Cosy accommodation in stunning location.]”
This is delightful hostel with a cosy, homely feel. Very comfortable and clean. Owners are kind and helpful, and I think live on the premises. The location is stunning with a gorgeous view as you step out of the front door. Shops, restaurants and bars close by. Easy to park close to the accommodation.

The location and the views are amazing! The hosts were also nice and helpful. The room had perfect amount of hippie & 90s vibe mixed, simple yet spacious and cozy. I Recommend staying here and visiting the other near villages aswell
