“It was an excellent stay”

The management and overall staff are friendly, courteous and approachable . The kitchen is always clean. Hygiene is the number one priority in this establishment. The hostel is at a good location that is close to all amenities - it’s closer to some of the popular malls & eateries. They also have activities planned every day mostly for youngsters. I just wish that music would be loud only on week-ends, staring from Friday - of course. They’re currently busy with renovations. This goes to show that they’re serious about taking good care of their patrons - it’s also the reason why they’re going to be always among the best in hostel category. It’s a niche that caters for a specific client base in that it’s the best of both worlds in accommodation because you get to cook; order take-out - your choice. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this establishment.

Stayed over a month at a Long Street backpackers and the location really makes everything easy. Food rating: 7.5–8/10 — you’ve got solid options like Tiger’s Milk Long Street, Obi Restaurant, Lola’s Eatery, and local flavour at Mama Africa. Quick bites like Shawarma House are everywhere too. What really stands out is how close you are to everything. You can walk to Greenmarket Square, explore the colourful streets of Bo-Kaap, or relax in Company’s Garden. A short trip gets you to bigger attractions like V&A Waterfront and even Table Mountain. Then at night, Long Street comes alive — bars, music, and a constant buzz right outside your door. Simple, central, and a great base if you want Cape Town at your doorstep.
