“Great location, fabulous Food extremely helpful staff”

Fabulous , great location , close to town , staff amazingly helpful. They had lots of food and drink for you to help yourself at all times lovely appointed rooms., staff couldn’t have been more helpful with advice on transport restaurants and everything you need to know about Cape Town Absolutely wonderful Hotel would highly recommend to anyone visiting the city

Great location, so easy to get around, close to main streets. Had fab views of Table Mountain from the lovely peaceful garden. Loved the decor. Had very helpful friendly staff who couldn’t do more for us, so accommodating, a lovely stay & if we return to SA would definitely stay again!

Best hotel I’ve stayed in

Perfect stay at the Derwent House Hotel. Great location, lovely staff and comfortable bedrooms. I can see why so many guests come back year after year. Sadly we were both ill while there so weren't able to make the most of all the facilities, however we plan to return at some point in the future.

Super friendly & helpful staff. Great location for Table Mountain, the V&A, Constantia and all the beaches and drive down from Camps Bay. Excellent breakfast with almost everything imaginable. All the small touches, like complimentary cake at 4pm, port & sherry. Loved the whole concept of the honesty bar too.

Wonderful, elegant boutique hotel with a peaceful pool area. Fantastic breakfast and lovely staff. The manager and all the staff were so kind and accommodating when we were briefly coping with illness. Highly recommend!

What a lovely place to say! The hotel itself is gorgeous - stunning pool, very comfortable lounge area, beautiful decor. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and relaxed. What makes it so special is all the little touches - sunscreen, afternoon tea, daily note. Would come back any time.

Derwent House was absolutely phenomenal. The staff, the room and the care and attention to detail were way above average. We have travelled extensively around the world, and Derwent House is the best place that we have ever stayed. I cannot praise the staff enough, everyone from front of house management to housekeeping were kind, friendly and helpful. Also, the bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in, so we have come home fully rested. We can’t wait to go back.

We had an early morning flight in from UK and were able to check in early. Staff were exceptionally friendly offering advice and information on our first visit to Cape Town. Our room had lovely views of Table Mountain. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. We used Uber to get about.
