Overview
Casa Del Sonder is located in the trendy De Waterkant, just a 10-minute walk from the city centre. It has a rooftop terrace with a plunge pool and a 360 degree view of the city and Table Mountain. Decorated in rich and warm colours, the air-conditioned rooms feature a seating area, flat-screen TV and safe. They include tea-and-coffee-making facilities and a smart TV with Netflix. Some rooms offer a view of Table Mountain. Please note, Casa del Sonder is located in a historically Muslim area. We are situated next to the oldest mosque in the country which we take great pride in and enjoy hearing the soulful call to prayer a few times a day. We have a newly opened, beautiful coffee shop located on the premises. Book breakfast with us and enjoy world class coffee and delicious food on our rooftop overlooking the city, or grab a coffee and croissant before venturing out on your daily excursions. Free WiFi is available. The guest house is within 2 kilometres from the CTICC, V & A Waterfront and Sea Point Promenade. The Cape Town International Airport is 22 km away.

Very nice guesthouse with a beautiful swimming pool and stunning views of Table Mountain. The delicious breakfast is served on the rooftop, offering an amazing panorama of the mountain. The staff and the owner are extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to share great local tips. The guesthouse feels very safe, as it is located directly opposite a police station. It is also within walking distance of Bo-Kaap and several excellent restaurants. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very well equipped. Right next to the guesthouse, there is also a lovely coffee house owned by the same proprietor, where you can enjoy excellent coffee and delicious cookies until early afternoon. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!

Very great hotel with beautiful furniture and an amazing rooftop terrace. We absolutely loved the vibe! The location is excellent: even though it’s in a lively part of the city, it was surprisingly quiet at night and we slept very well. Bonus points for the incredibly comfortable sheets 😉 The hosts were very lovely and helpful, and they always seemed to make sure we got home safely. We would definitely recommend this place — 10/10!

Nicely furnished and felt comfortable. Lovely little rooftop with small pool with a lovely view of the mountains. The hosts were great and welcomed us to stay after check out as we needed to wait for our flight.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to help us with parking/bag storage/local recommendations. The hotel is in a great location to explore the city and the breakfast/pool area is lovely and relaxing too. Delicious coffee too. We loved it!

“Lovely guest house”
Beautiful guest house in Bo-Kaap, very close to restaurants in the Cape Quarter village area. Lovely staff who welcomed us on arrival and throughout our stay. We were able to leave our suitcases whilst waiting for our evening flight and we were able to have a shower before leaving for the airport which was really nice. The bedroom was very nice with a comfy bed. Good breakfast.

A wonderful guesthouse with a very personal and welcoming atmosphere. The facilities are excellent and everything is very well equipped. The breakfast was delicious and a great start to the day. Ireally enjoyed my stay and would happily come back.
