This place is far nicer than the pics - it's gorgeous once you get in! Rooms are spacious , there is some internal communal space which is nice and the jewel in the crown is the big terrace with beautiful plants and flowers. It is a lovingly restored lodge that is simple and everything you need. I met the owner who was a lovely man and talked about how the home had been in the family for generations. It is a little bit out of the hustle and bustle of Cape Coast but still very close to everything as the main town is so small.

Great location, short walk away from cape coast castle. Has a nice outdoor seating area which is nice as the room is small.

It's a cute small hotel on a nice premise overlooking the city. It's therefore on a hill, not that easy to reach at first. Great bed, clean room and bathroom, AC,... Good for a night or two.

Nice accommodation, not too far from the cape coast caste, about a 15 minutes walk. Big room, good AC, working wifi, a small fridge, big bed There was a basic breakfast.. Friendly ladies take care of the property, and I was happy I could pay by card.

“Unprofessionnal and rude”

At first, I wasn’t planning to give such a low rating, but the check-out experience convinced me otherwise. From the very beginning, we didn’t feel welcome. The lady at the front desk was really rude. We arrived at 11 am; the rooms were ready, but they categorically refused to let us have them before 12. So we just stood there waiting for an hour — completely unprofessional, with no commercial gesture at all. They also tried to cancel the Booking.com reservation of one of our friends, who had already been staying there for two nights, and take the room back from her. The room itself was nice: hot shower and decent WiFi. However, the fridge smelled moldy, and there were a few mosquitoes in the room. Coffee and tea were provided, but oddly there was only one cup even though we were two people in this room. Breakfast was tasty but a bit on the light side: tea/coffee, a small plate of pineapple, and two small toasted sandwiches with egg. The view from the patio was lovely, and the location is great — many places are easily accessible on foot. For the price, Booking.com quoted $72.70 for the two rooms. At the current exchange rate (10.3), that should have been around 750 GHS. However, the owner insisted on applying his own rate (11), bringing the total to 800 GHS. When we refused, the staff became extremely rude and aggressive towards us, which was unbelievable. The owner then even accused us of having “thrown” the money at his staff, which was completely untrue — we handed it over, hand to hand. Overall, it felt very unprofessional and left a bitter taste to what could have been an enjoyable stay.

The breakfast

Excellent location, centrally located in the town. On a hill. Beautiful view on the town and you can even see the sea. We rented 3 rooms, and could also make use of a cozy sitting room. The rooms were clean and convenient. The bath rooms were also clean. Some tiles were damaged, and you could tell the bath rooms had been used a lot, but that did not bother us since they were clean. Good air conditioning in the hotel rooms and nice fans on the ceiling. Breakfast was light but tastful, and was served on a terrace. Furthermore the hosts arranged a taxi for us, and the drivers drove very safe and were friendly.

Communication prior to the stay was extremely good. Owner is very responsive.

The location is great and the view on the city extremally stunning! The price for this luxury comes with the challenge of reaching the top of the hill, which can be difficult even for experienced drivers. We ended up going about 200 meters downhill to catch a taxi, which felt like a reasonable choice, given the current (terrible) logistics to the property. The property owner was very friendly and talkative.
