This is a wonderful and interesting building, filled with atmosphere and charm surrounded by beautiful gardens and a fabulous swimming pool. And the beach is just across the road ! The breakfast is exceptional and even included a selection of home made breads, jams and yoghurt and cakes.

Everything was wonderful! The hosts were very welcoming, and the villa itself is beautiful and full of charm. It felt cozy and relaxing, like a little piece of paradise.

It's a treat and a piece of history, you must be culturally educated to like this...just around the corner from Cannes beach.Daniela and Jan are wonderful hosts, thier breakfast includes jams and organic healthy food made by themselves...The house is very clean and the very few house rules only wants to make sure civilized guests stay that way and respect the property...You have bus around the corner to Cannes, lovely restaurants in the neibourhood, it's a real treat, for the price you pay comparing with the rest of the overpriced B&Bs.

“Cheap ride, costly attitude.” Relatively affordable and 10 minutes by bus to the center—but that’s where the charm ends. The host’s condescending behavior ruined the whole stay. We chose to remain calm and polite, but I’m sure some guests won’t tolerate such treatment and will respond accordingly.

Hi, the owners were cold and no kindness, the owner shouted at the lady in the room next door, for water on the floor of the bathroom which is normal after you shower...it was a hostile environment

Very cosy place, clean room, very near to the beach, in 2 min walking bus stop to the city center. Beautiful historical villa with very kind hosts, separately thankfully to Daniela. With pleasure will come back again.

I had an excellent stay at Villa Belle Ville over the weekend.. The property is incredible, the rooms are gorgeous, and the hosts made me feel so welcome and comfortable. As I told my incredible hosts, I will be returning as soon as possible. What a gem!

A truly beautiful villa by the beach build in 1863 with history and beautiful garden & swimming pool. If you are looking for a place where French socialité and boheme from end of 18th century/beginning 19th spent their summer time, that's the place! Very kind owners, nice breakfast with lovely homemade bread. We were lucky to stay 5 days & have the room with two terraces (one with sea view, another with "Cannes hills" view - absolutely stunning!). You can have budget room as well, so there is option for everyone. We will definitely come back anytime soon! Our Cannes place!

Be warned, there is no air con in this hotel which is unbearable in summer months. On arrival, we were initially impressed by the picturesque exterior of this hotel. However, disappointment was soon to follow. The biggest let down of all was the manner in which we were spoken to when we simply asked if there was anything more that could be done to cool the room. We were met with a condescending and aggressive tone and were told “what do you expect”, “at least you are on the first floor, try being on the second” and “we all have to suffer too”. The only ‘solution’ was to open the doors to allow air to circulate the room, which meant the room was full of mosquitos - adding to an uncomfortable stay. Our room was not serviced during our 3 night stay which was another disappointment - no fresh towels, no replenished tea or coffee, or beds made - a standard expectation when booking a hotel. On top of this, we were also asked not to enter the pool with suncream on, due to their lack of efficient cleaning facilities which was evident when we saw how filthy the pool was. Although they did allow us to use the sun loungers on our last day after check-out (before our train departed), when we requested towels we were rudely told no (even after we suggested we could reuse our dirty ones). This meant lying on plastic sun beds with no cushioning or towels. Overall, we felt that the management didn’t actually want guests staying at the hotel. They could benefit from taking a beginners class in basic customer service, as well as some upgrading to the general hotel facilities. We would not recommend this hotel at all. Thankfully, we’re delighted to have now arrived in Nice with a warm welcome from Sandrine of the Cosy Cocoon.

An island of tranquility, a beautiful house with lots of quirky charm, a stunning garden and a big swimming pool. I had a very small attic room with a shared bathroom, but wouldn't have traded it for any boring standard room in nearby hotels.
