“Outstanding hospitality”

I can only echo other outstanding reviews. Our host Richard, and on the last night his daughter Emma, could not have been more friendly or welcoming. The ground floor suite we had booked was superbly appointed and stayed cool in the heatwave even without air-conditioning. The breakfast was of outstanding quality including eggs laid that morning from the chateau's chickens. The swimming pool was open for pre-breakfast swims. Richard made dinner reservations for us. One of our best B&B stays ever.

Richard and Sophie made us feel very welcome. We stayed in the little house off the main house which was recently renovated making a great combination of older style country manor with modern facilities. Breakfast each morning was excellent

Beautiful family home in a lovely setting, convenient and attractive, with lovely gardens surrounding. Excellent breakfast with fresh produce from the gardens and elegant tableware. Our host was gracious and generous with his time and hospitality. We greatly enjoyed our visit.

Our second visit to Colivault and it was lovely. We stayed in the cottage which is a very relaxing and stylish place. Richard is an excellent and charming host who helped us with reservations at lovely restaurants

We had the most wonderful stay at Colivault. Richard & Sophie were wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. It is a very grand house located in superb grounds in quiet countryside. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms very tastefully decorated and furnished. A fabulous breakfast was offered with everything you could want and more. Private and secure parking too. We would thoroughly recommend Colivault and we really hope to return one day.

We visited Colivault as an overnight stop on our way back to the UK (with our dog). The house and grounds are amazing and the whole experience would be highly recommended if you like comfortable beds and a great breakfast.

“Absolutely stunning chateau stay (in every regard)”

Of many chateau stays we've done, this is top tier due to many aspects: Pristine rooms (thanks to Roobina, who cares for the property exceptionally well); Richard was a caring and impeccable host; the thoughtful personal touches that make a guest truly feel honored and welcome, like an elegant tray with tilleul for tea (fresh from the tree) and honey from the family's bees, and fresh-cut roses from the gardens. Superb beds that make you want to sleep all day. We kept saying we wished we had reserved several nights (but they were already full). You definitely need 2-3 nights here, it is just that good snd so relaxing. We will be back!

We loved everything about our stay. The suite was incredibly comfortable, clean and stylish. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. Richard is the perfect host with nothing being too much trouble.

“Chateaux tour combined with excellent restaurants!”

Breakfast, rooms, character property, log fire, host, furnishings, restaurant advice. Homemade jams, home grown fruits, orahes, lemons and apples. Also own honey. Richard our host was very helpful and friendly. He added to our three night stay amongst the Chateaux a gastronomic tour of the best nearby restaurants. His recommendations were excellent.

“Perfect stay at a French country manor”

An absolutely amazing place to stay! I would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the grounds. Our room (or actually an apartment!) was large, comfortable and furnished with excellent taste. The breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room, and it was over the top. Our host gave us a perfect restaurant recommendation (Brut maison de cuisine in Blois) and spent time discussing various things while we enjoyed breakfast. I will definitely be back to Colivault!

“The place to stay to have a French Chateau experience”

Richard is the host where nothing is too much trouble and made every effort to make our stay memorable. The grounds are a pleasure for that get away from it experience. The wine was a nice bonus and tasted excellent. Breakfast excellent. So all in all deserves it’s high recommends!
