“Forget Michelin-starred Spa Hotels. Stay at Le Cancalais!”

We loved our stay at Le Cancalais! Ultimately it all comes down to the care, attention, and hard work of all the management and staff; the result of which was a stay that proved to be a significant highlight of our tour of Northern France. From the moment you arrive the welcome is genuinely warm, the rooms are clean, comfortable, and good value (with an excellent sea view too). This would be accolade enough, but the food! The food!!! We ate in the restaurant in the evening and our meal was simply sensational. Every single mouthful of every dish was a moment to savour, and we cannot praise it highly enough. Real five-star quality worthy of Michelin recognition. As if that wasn't enough, breakfast the following morning was sublime. Eggs cooked freshly (and perfectly!) next to your table with a view out to sea was perfect preparation for the day ahead. We will be making sure that Le Cancalais becomes a regular stop, and highly recommend you pay this wonderful place a visit.

This hotel is in a perfect lpocation. We were very warmly welcomed on arrival and our rooms were a good size with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was very good, and were offered freshly cooked eggs! We will definitely come to this hotel again.

A little small but cozy room, way better than many chain hotels. Very nice dinner and extremely kind staff.

Our room was lovely. It overlooked the sea. The bed was comfortable and the room was a nice size. We enjoyed the breakfast. The freshly made omelette was delicious

Very clean and pleasant rooms above a restaurant on the Quay in this charming port. Friendly staff. Great views from rooms. I was concerned visiting in August that parking would be a serious issue but it was fine and there are numerous public car parks along the Quay within a very short walk of the accommodation (cost was around 8 euros and not charged overnight 10pm to 10 am). There is also a very large free car park within a 10 minute walk.

Lovely situation in the heart of the seafront. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice.

The hotel is a little dated but look past this and you will have a fantastic stay. The owner and staff could not be more helpful and went out of there way to help us charge one of our bikes. The view out to sea from the room was a lovely touch. Breakfast was a feast with freshly cooked omletes and crepes.
