“The main purpose of going to Canakkale was to visit the Gallipoli battlefields.”

The breakfast was excellent. The location was very convenient. The host was very helpful and happy to engage in conversation. Our purpose to visit Canakkale was to see the battlefields of Gallipoli. Our host was very obliging in organizing a tour guide for us for the day. The tour guide was extremely informative and made our visit to the Gallipoli battlefields very worthwhile.

Such a gem! We are so happy to have chosen here for our stay. Resat is the most attentive and caring host. Each morning we enjoyed a beautiful traditional breakfast, with fresh fruit and vegetables, and delicious bread. We didn't need lunch! Resat sat and chatted with us, sharing stories of the present day and of the past. It made our stay very special.

The view from the lounge window across the Dardanelles was amazing.The host greeted us with tea coffee and biscuits.It’s across the road from the ferry that takes you to Çanakkale.Lovely spacious and comfortable apartment the breakfast served was as good as any hotel/restaurant.

This is a great accommodation. Very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Our host provided local information on where to visit and to eat. The ferry is just across the road and was easy to catch for a dinner outing in Cannakkale as well as for our departure in our car. Highly recommended.

There is lots to like about this property. We loved the fact it was just a short ferry hop from the main town. The ferries are regular, run until late at night and very cheap. The property is ‘a stones throw’ from where the ferry docks. Don’t drive out of the village (like we did) because you literally need to find somewhere to park almost immediately. The village is quaint and traditional. There is a great busy restaurant selling delicious fresh fish at really reasonable prices but be aware there is nowhere to get a beer or glass of wine. You can always buy your own across the water and keep it cool in the fridge in your room, if you wish. Richard will make sure you feel at home in his property. He is a very welcoming and interesting host who makes the BEST breakfasts ever. Unfortunately we had to forego our breakfast on the day we left because we were heading off early for Troy and Bergama but Richard was determined we would leave hungry and made us some tasty sandwiches to eat on the way. Finally, whilst our room didn’t offer much of a view, the view from the upstairs living room is phenomenal.

Communication with Recat was excellent…such a welcoming, friendly host. Location was fabulous, right across from the ferry to Canakkale. Breakfast was huge and healthy. Very clean and comfortable beds. Gorgeous view from the sitting room on the top floor!

Lively, informative host who gave us useful information about visiting various monuments and cemeteries. An abundant, varied breakfast with lots of delicious items to choose from. We enjoyed the view of the Dardanelles and the activity at the nearby ferry stop from the comfortable upstairs lounge.
