“Authentic local experience”

The most memorable stay in our entire visit in Vietnam. With an authentic homestay, we got a rare insight into the local Vietnamese life for their wonderful family. Jimmy (the owner) offers tours (which he has done for almost 20 years) so he knows ALL the people and places that you could possibly want to see. We chose to get private tours with Jimmy, and were so happy we did that because we could decide the pace ourselves. STRONGLY recommend the tours!!! The accommodation offers privacy as well, the private bedroom is on its own floor with a private bathroom, which is not a given for a real homestay. There’s even a large private balcony that we really enjoyed. In the mornings they either prepared breakfast for us or showed us to the local breakfast places, which we enjoyed as we wanted to see how the local’s live. Jimmys family welcomed us with such warmth and if we ever come back to Can Tho we’ll definitely stay with them again! Overall, FANTASTIC experience in every way. This is for you if you want an authentic experience while supporting a local family.

What a great experience, a reel homestay. Here you get a room in a small families home. The room is very nice and comfortable. The family is fantastic jimmy, his wife Deisy and their 3 children are the kindest people you will meet. Deisy will make nice simple breakfast for you and be sure to book Jimmy to make a tour for you in the delta. Floating market, forest and noodle factory.

“An unique opportunity to meet and spend time with a real Vietnamese family”

This is a unique opportunity to meet and spend time with a real Vietnamese family with 3 lovely kids. Jimmy and his wife are truly wonderful, inviting hosts. They took care of us like if we were family. Above that, Jimmy took us on a half day tour to a nearby floating market where we had breakfast, then to a forest (boating through green canals) and rice fields. In the evening we had a nice chat over a beer. The room and breakfast were both simple but you don’t choose a homestay to have luxury. In the end we feel like we got much more than we paid for.

Lovely and cozy accomodation at homestay. Next day we went on a pleasent floating market tour with Jimmy. I highly recommend it.

Jimmy, Deisy and their Kids are very very nice Hosts. The room is inside of their House - it‘s an authentic homestay with a private bathroom. We enjoyed to get a little insight in what a vientmamese Family life is like. We also loved the location of their House, it’s situated in a local residential neighbourhood, walking distance 5min to the local and floating market. Excellent authentic Restaurant closeby aswell. Thanks a lot!

A very nice place, you stay with a local family. They are very friendly and helpful. The district is located near Floding Market. We recommend taking a bike ride, which the owner showed us. We highly recommend this place.😃😁

Everything was perfect! The homestay was clean and comfortable. Jimmy and his family were extremely kind and welcoming, they made us feel like part of their home. The breakfast on the river at the floating market (we booked the tour that Jimmy is running) was unforgettable, and we loved discovering how locals make noodles and banana cakes. The bike ride through the countryside was also a highlight, peaceful, authentic, and full of smiles from the locals.

We had an awesome stay with Jimmy and his little family at his homestay. Jimmy speaks pretty good English, which made communicating easy, and he went the extra mile to show us around and show us where to get local food etc. The room was clean and tidy if simple. Jimmy also runs tours through a few travel agency platforms, but we just organised something with him directly. He took us on a river boating trip, which was very peaceful, and Jimmy gave some great insight into the life of the locals along the waterways. We visited the floating markets in Can Tho where boats and vendors traded fresh produce and local meals. We visited local rice noodle producers’ workshop and a small fruit farm. We then transitioned onto bicycles at a temple (Jimmy arranged prior) and rode through the countryside — past rice paddies, quaint villages, blacksmiths, local diners — seeing how people live, working in fields, kids waving, the smell of cooking in small roadside kitchens. Visiting the local artisans and blacksmiths was a highlight: and we had some of the regions best noodles at a little lunch stop where you have to press the noodles yourself. In the homestay, Jimmy was around if you needed something but not overbearing; he was good for a chat over a beer to get an idea about culture and the struggles of Vietnam. He’s politically savvy. Can Tho isn’t exactly a hotspot of action and you only need a few days there but definitely enhanced our trip. If we stayed in Saigon the whole time, we wouldn’t have seen the more authentic aspects of Vietnam. If you want an authentic, immersive glimpse of rural life, this place is an absolute gem.

We had an amazing stay at this truly authentic homestay. We only met lovely Nguyen and her children in person, but both her and Jimmy were super helpful and responsive throughout, giving great food and activity recommendations :) The room was clean, well air conditioned and had a private bathroom with amenities. And the location was perfect for seeing the floating market.

The first homestay in Vietnam which was a real homestay. The owner and his family were really friendly, helpful and welcoming. We got a lot of recommendations and we had a great time.

We had a fantastic trip to the Mekong Delta, exploring less touristy places and staying with a genuine, warm Vietnamese family. The host spent a lot of time with us, taking us to delicious lunches and dinners, and we learned so much about life in Vietnam. His family is wonderful—his wife, children, and in-laws are all incredibly kind and welcoming. It was an unforgettable experience, and we felt right at home!

I stayed in this homestay one night. Jimmy is an amazing host, ready to help you with every single thing. He is a local tour guide, one of the best, so he can give you very good advice about what to do in Can Tho and all this Mekong Delta area. I totally recommend Jimmy and his cute homestay.

Had a great stay here! Jimmy and his family are very kind and great hosts! Got to learn a lot about the Can Tho, got some great food and went on an amazing boat tour! Room is nice and clean. Wish I could have stayed longer and would definitely recommend!!
