“Great for visiting Cefalu and enjoying pool”

The place is big. There is AC. Beautiful garden and perfect, well sized pool in the middle of olives and lemon trees. Pool is impecably clean and most of the time we have been there alone. Host was amazing!!! Always there for everything we needed.

Our stay in apartments was wonderfull. We had the best rest. Calm and quiet would describe it the best. The veiw from our room was beautiful. The room itself verry clean. Water at the pool was perfect. I need to complement the owner especially, she was dear, helpful and friendly. We will definitelly be comming back and reccomending it to all of our friends.

“My idea of paradise in the Sicilian countryside”

Il Sole e la Margherita is the perfect accommodation for enjoying the best Sicilian countryside has to offer in the Cefalu’ area. I was looking for a countryside location surrounded by orange and olive tree in the peace and quiet of the beautiful rural landscape of Sicily with the convenience of easy access to the restaurants and amenities of nearby coastal resorts, and Il Sole e la Margherita was the perfect spot. It is a farm building that has been converted into rustic apartments that benefit from a pool situated in amongst fig, lime, orange, and olive trees. With views of the sea in one direction and epic views of mountains in the other you can not imagine a more idyllic place to rest and unwind. All the apartments have either a terrace or balcony where you could eat, drink, or just sit and take in the views. The apartment we stayed in was very comfortable, very clean and well-equipped. Everything was spotless clean, well-organised, spacious with comfortable beds and air conditioning and with a Mediterranean feel thanks to the very high finish of the structure and the furniture. Although we arrived at midnight, we had an excellent welcome from the owner who when she discovered my love of Sicilian coffee, she would invite me to have an espresso every time she saw me. Il Sole e la Margherita is conveniently located close to the main tourist town of Cefalu’ (about 15 mins drive) but benefited from very local amenities such as a bakery (oh the bread is to die for!), butchers, supermarket, bank, etc in the locale village of Lascari (about 5 mins drive) and restaurants and less tourist beaches at Campofelice di Roccella and Capo Playa in Lascari (less than 10 mins drive). If you are visiting the area don’t miss on the opportunity of spending few days in this corner of paradise where you will enjoy the most authentic Sicilian experience.
