The Slaveiro Hotel is located only 5 minutes by vehicle from the central bus station, The restaurant of the hotel is with live samba type of music at play and good food. I am glad the staff informed abut the big Sao Joao (St John) festival happening in the city, which I was not aware of. TV in the room was working, though with Portuguese langauge channles only. Wake up call ok. Breakfast is fine, but typical, no vegetables as usual.

It’s unbelievable dirty. We booked 3 rooms and all of them were not clean and extremely dirty. Facilities like the gym also.

Modern hotel, well sized and very quiet rooms, rooms get cleaned at the same time every day, breakfast bar tends to be on the chic side and is very well presented, restaurant menu is good ranging from executive menus to more expensive items, a good mix.
