“Above Tide Motel highlight of our trip so far.”

Really liked this place. Was really good value for money given the area. Paul was really welcoming and very knowledgable and informative about the area. We booked a suite with kitchen. Was a good size and had everything we needed and was well prepared and very clean. Very comfortable bed. TV with streaming (Netflix etc) was welcome in the evenings. Outstanding feature was the large balcony directly looking out onto Discovery Channel /Strait of Georgia . Fantastic view and and we saw Orcas and humpback whale passing, and eagles resident in trees behind the motel.

Location. View across the river. Friendly receptionist. Forgot to menton the beds and pillows were great.

Room, view, balcony, and kitchen were absolutely beautiful. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

The owner was kind and generous, he waited until 11.30pm for us to arrive, had the heater and lights on for us, went out of his way to be helpful. Including fixing a pair of reading glasses that were broken. Made us feel relaxed and comfortable after a long long flight. Clean tidy great location!! Can not say enough good things.

“5-star view and 5-star staff, absolute perfection!”

We loved everything about this place! Don’t be fooled by the name „motel”, this place is like a 5-star hotel. The view is breathtaking - there are orcas, sea lions and seals swimming right below the balcony, hummingbirds singing in the trees im front of it, and bald eagles flying right in fromt of your eyes. The staff is absolutely lovely, helpful and very kind. I recommend the apartment on the second floor. It has everything you may need, including a kitchen, table, two comfy queen beds (one in a separate bedroom), and a large balcony with seating and the gorgeous view. We’ll definitely be back, this time for longer!!

“Great value for a world class view”

Beautiful views across the Salish Sea from the decking outside the room. We saw dolphins plus very distant Whale and Orca(i did have a telescope). Staff are really friendly and helpful. They provided us with plates and cutlery so we could eat a takeaway.

The service and friendliness of the staff was exceptional. We felt so welcome as soon as we arrived. They pointed out a Bald Eagle's nest opposite the property and explained where whales had been the previous week. The weather was quite windy so we didn't see any but it was a lovely spot to sit and relax

The view was beyond fantastic.

We had a lovely stay at above tide and wanted to stay in Campbell river longer than the 3nights we had booked, so many things to do. The room was simple, clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the water. Great value for the price. The best thing about the accommodation was the staff! Lena the receptionist/manager was professional, helpful and lovely. I had a bit of a crisis situation that Lena supported out with the help of Peter the handyman offered to help me and did help me. They didn't have to but they did. I will forever remember their kindness and generosity.

From the road this place didn't look the best on arrival but the welcome and the amazing view from the balcony made up for all that. After walking our feet off in Campbell river I would say it was one of the best locations to watch wildlife on the river.

“Clean but I'd pay more and stay somewhere different next time”

The tiny view was lovely, it's quite. Rooms were fairly clean.
