“Quiet paradise”

This is an amazing place! The view from the room is beautiful, and if you take the steps up to San Rocco it’s breathtaking. It’s very quiet, you can hear the distant waves crashing against the shore down below. The host Emilia was very kind and friendly and prepared a great vegan breakfast every morning. The room, the house and the yard were all lovely and I had everything I needed to relax after long days wandering on the mountain trails that start in San Rocco. Also, I saw fireflies on the steps just below the lodge!

The host was wonderful in providing information and recommending nearby walks, its a beautiful area. Also breakfast was arranged early due to our leaving for an early train.

Outstanding stay, everything was perfect: charming place in beautiful location, amazing view from the windows, clean room, comfortable beds and pillows, tasty breakfast and sweet host!

Everything was perfect, from the warm hospitality of Francesca and Marcello to the incredible location. I truly felt I was experiencing a very profound side of Italy, made possible not only by the setting itself but also by the warmth of the people and the comfort of everything. It’s true that there are stairs to get there, but you can take a taxi up to the Chiesa di San Rocco and then it’s just a short walk down. So, for anyone who doesn’t feel like walking, that option exists. But honestly, if you come to a place like this, I think it actually adds so much more — arriving through that ancient path makes you appreciate the location even more.

The lodge is really worth the money. Fabulous place a very cozy with colourful sofas and barbecue zone in the morning when you see other table you feel like you’re in Italian family because all customers are joining you in a breakfast . My room was clean , cozy very light, bathroom is also clean and very light.

Lovely view from my room, could sleep with the window open and just hear the cicadas at night. No traffic noice or so. Perfect get away if you're looking to get into nature and be close to the hiking trails around San Rocco.

“Single happy traveller”

A Lovely Nature retreat up in the hills. You need good walking shoes for the stairs to go up and down. The Breakfast was great and well done with protein - not only sweets. The bathroom was modernized lately.

It was in such a lovely location and the people were extremely friendly and helpful. The views were incredible and sitting out in the evening or with breakfast in the morning was such a treat. The whole place was beautifully decorated and clean. And there are a couple of lovely local restaurants nearby for dinner. It's a bit of a hike to get up there (about 20 minutes up lots of steps) but we were hiking anyway and it was on our route so was perfect, plus its worth it for the views and the feel of the place once you're there. Highly recommend the hiking trails around it as well.

The environment

“The Olive Garden”

Absolutely loved the location and setting, emersed in nature surrounded by olive trees. The large table and common area welcomes one to mingle with other guests. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Francesca was very helpful! We left early, so could not say goodbye or thank her. We had a lovely stay.

Nice owner, clean rooms

The views were mesmerising, hotel was rustic and charming, but the real stars of the show were Luna and Francesca, who couldn't have been any friendlier nor more helpful. The quality of Luna's cooking is first class. The most relaxing and rewarding of stays.

Great retreat hotel in peaceful location up the mountain. Beautiful views and helpful staff who spoke good English. Drinks available and also evening meal if required.
