Overview
Originally built in 1894, this historic Victorian-style boutique hotel is situated adjacent to the MIT Campus in Cambridge, and features a unique and cozy atmosphere, complete with many modern conveniences. Just outside the Kendall's front doors is the area's fantastic public transportation system. This location allows guests to easily access all the areas of the city, including downtown Boston and Harvard University, both only a short distance away. After a restful night of sleep in individually decorated rooms, guests at The Kendall Hotel at the Engine 7 Firehouse can start the morning with a variety of breakfast buffet items, or work out at a nearby fitness center with complimentary access. A wine hour is hosted each night in the Rooftop Retreat.

Beautiful hotel in a superb building near Kendall Square, with easy metro access to city centre (station is literally a minute away) Room was large, spacious and comfy, bed was comfy too Staff wre friendly and very helpful, and breakfast was good with a decent enough selection

Nicely furbished rather cozy hotel close to MIT in old firefighter house (ans much bigger annex) I still know from my time as postdoc at MIT. Very friendly staff. I will come back.

“Wonderful place”
The hotel is ideally located right outside the subway station, and takes us two stops to Harvard and downtown Boston. The hotel is very welcoming, and the rooms are very pleasant. The establishment brings the history of this former firehouse with an original decor. The breakfast is excellent, with good quality products and generous portions. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Honestly, a wonderfull place!

Fantastic location. You are not aware you are in the center of MIT until you get here! A very classy hotel with excellent ambience and a high-quality breakfast. The beds are supercomfy and the room is stylish with vintage furniture. Overall, a memoriable stay.
