“Nice stay but rooms are dated.”

The staff are actually quite helpful, despite their busy schedules. You just have to be quite clear with them in terms of what you want. Some of them are a bit abrupt with how they respond but there's no unkindness. I think people need to take that in their stride instead of complaining about it. The front room of the hotel is quite nice to sit in and work. There's tea and coffee and some biscuits. The rooms themselves are quite large and spacious.

The location is good - right beside a bus stop and a short walk from the Porter station on the Red Line, very helpful for getting to/from the city centre/Cambridge generally/stations and airport. The room was very comfortable - surprisingly quiet and dark at night for a room in a city, and furnished with plenty of plugs, a desk, a good shower, a hairdryer, ironing board and all other necessities. All was nicely clean. The hotel doesn't offer breakfast, but there is a gourmet grocery shop opposite which, while on the expensive side, offers an amazing range of very high-quality food - so we found ourselves enjoying breakfast (and at times lunch and dinner) in the hotel, which has a communal seating area with tables, and a small adjacent kitchenette with microwave. All in all, this meant quite a savings over eating out. The communal area is in the Victorian part of the hotel and quite beautiful. There is also free tea and coffee on offer. The combination of location, facilities, and ability to eat in made the hotel superb value for money.

Cute old-school inn. They let us check in any time at night. Walking distance to both Porter and Davis stations on the red line. Very nice lounge area in the main building.

Clean and tidy. We are glad to have the kitchen so that we can do light cooking. It is close to the T station. What is even better is that the 77 bus stop is just outside the inn and makes connection to Porter and Harvard T station very convenient. The price is great.

The bed was exceptionally comfortable! The room was very clean and conveniently planned. I really appreciated the USB-C and USB outlets next to the bed :)

When booking a contemporary room it wasn't made clear that it was a house next to the main Inn and that there were no tea and coffee making facilities - you had to go next door for these.

“cheap-ish but would not repeat”

room small, en-suite tiny; shower had ancient and damaged control, shower output was just a trickle, wait for hot water several minutes; little storage space for things/clothes other than hangars and a rail. Aircon very noisy. Fan in bathroom deafening.
