Set in the historic centre of Caltagirone, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, La Piazzetta is in the heart of Sicily. It offers modern rooms with free Wi-Fi, all air conditioned. Right in center of old Town, very large clean room with massive bathroom. Older hotel but well maintained and extremely clean. Furniture is a bit older but bed was comfortable (pillow a bit firm for me) Host was very nice and has a great restaurant nearby . A popular local spot for dinner. We certainly enjoyed our pizzas!

Called the host 3 times to come to open the door. he told us that he is coming from his restaurant which was 5 mins away, however I had to go my self there as he did not show up. when I went all he asked was for the payment. He did not bother to come to open as others hosts do. He gave us the keys for the apartment only and when we asked him about the gate keys he told us that all we we need to do is to push the gate and I was sure that the gate wouldn’t be open. When we told him that the gate will be closed he started turning his head and doing expressions like we have fault! when we went back near the apartment he came as he realised that we were right that the gate would be closed.. He showed us that he only cares about this restaurant.

Great location and beatiful view from the apartment. There is a huge parking 100m from the apartment despite the fact this is still old town area. Important: during winter time, the apartment was really warm what was exception in comparison to other places I visited.

“Good hotel but air con on timer”
Super spacious room, gets cleaned every day! Lovely little Juliette balcony. There is a communal kitchen which is not really mentioned upon check-in but bonus with kids!

Our host was brilliant, very attentive despite us arriving quite late and we later ate at his restaurant around the corner - delicious! Room was enormous, clean and well kept. Great value for money. Highly reccomend and would gladly stay here again.

There was no problem with late check-out because we arrived to this place at night. Huge room, everything okay. For me good bed and positive owner. Free parking on public parking on the hill. Good place to stay :)
