“We were expecting the old communist-style hotel and attitude. Instead we felt very welcome!”

I really recommend this very decent hotel, one of the best of its kind. I stayed in Romania.! Well renovated it proposes various balnear activities , a reasonably priced kitchen and a nice staff. I would really want to come again in the following years.

It was all ok as we stayed in the Caciulata building, recently renovated. The food was good - a la carte restaurant with lumpsum on the room to spend in the restaurant!

“Average hotel, thermal water, fresh food, dirt”
The pools are large and the water is thermal. There are two areas with pools: the Oltul hotel side and the Aqua Park area. The Aqua Park area is very crowded. At the Oltul hotel there is 1 large outdoor pool and 3 smaller ones (boiled water is added to these every 49 min). There are 2 indoor pools, quite crowded and seem dirty.

The complex is well located, but the area is quite noisy. The food offered in the restaurant has a good quality/price ratio, but still a price above the average of the area. The thermal water pools are an attraction in themselves, but tourists staying in the hotel should benefit from a reduced price.
