Overview
Casa Rural de la Villa has a mountain setting in Calatañazor, surrounded by gardens. This beautiful, rustic property dates from 1765 and maintains its original stone-clad façade and walls, wooden-framed doors and beamed ceilings. Offering views of the surrounding countryside, each room has pastel-coloured décor and exposed stone walls. There is a desk and a private bathroom. The carefully restored Casa Rural de la Villa features finishes made from natural limestone, juniper and pine trees. The restaurant offers cuisine prepared in its wood-burning stove. Dishes include chilled gazpacho soup, roasted meat dishes, steak, and trout and crab caught in the local river. You can relax on the charming terrace shaded by large trees, or make use of the lounge and library. Soria is a 30-minute drive from the property. Logroño and Burgos can be reached in approximately 90 minutes by car.

It was a very old property full of character. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Our hostess was very kind and we ate in the little restaurant in the evening. It was a lovely experience.

“Very pleasant hotel with character”
Very pleasant traditional old house full of character in the heart of the village. The lady who runs the place was very helpful and friendly. Large bedroom with very comfortable firm bed. Lots of storage space. Bathroom was clean and good size and had bath as well as shower. Lovely old dining room. The hotel has a wonderful walled garden with restaurant and bar across the street. Great location near the church and castle. Plenty of car parking nearby. Breakfast at 4 euros per person was a bit limited - just toast and cake with some juice and coffee.

“Worth making a detour for on the way back!”
We got a very pleasant welcome and could immediately enjoy a late lunch in the garden. It was a challenging ride up with our motorbikes but good fun!

“A destination worth the journey.”
A unique hotel in a very special village, absolutely wonderful! Begoña renovated the original ancient building beautifully and now runs it and the restaurant opposite which is also unique and wonderful.
