Antiga is an elegant building from the late 18th-century in the centre of Calafell, on the Costa Daurada. It has an outdoor swimming pool and offers free internet in rooms. “Was comfy. Staff was super nice and warm.”
The AC was not working, night was cold and could not heat room. Not to blame staff as we spent new year eve. The toilet had smell from the drainage, a Ptrap could help to avoid smell from dry drainages.

“Like home”
Owner is a really nice man. Helps you to parc your car in the small streets. Very nice garden with pool.

“An enjoyable stay made better by the excellent manager and her staff”
The staff, especially the manager, were excellent. There was a celebration evening for St John and the manger arranged for us to join the celebrations. She could not have been more helpful. The location was good. It was quiet, but not too far from the beach by car. Parking was easy in a nearby free car park. The swimming pool was excellent.

I absolutely loved the location in the old town of Calafell. It was so quaint and quiet. I had a rental car so it was easy for me to get down to the busier town by the seafront. The hotel is so unique. Quite possibly the best hotel I've stayed in. Not because of the facilities because some parts were lacking but the overall feel of this place. I was warmly welcomed by Cielo and also the owner (I think his name is Salvador). It felt like staying with family. Sure the hotel is a bit old and didn't have all the features of a modern facility but it was part of its charm. The gardens are beautiful and I loved sitting out there with my cup of tea just relaxing either in the garden or by the pool. This hotel is special. I really want to visit again.

“Would not recommend”
No way is this a 3-star hotel. Located in a slightly seedy part of town, no restaurants nearby, so had to eat dinner at the hotel - VERY poor food and very overpriced. The room was basic, not very clean, including mould on the shower curtain. Breakfast buffet extremely limited, very disappointing. Was glad to leave after one night

“A little gem!”
The host was very friendly & showed me around the hotel. Loved having a dip in the swimming pool - very refreshing. Garden were beautiful. Evening meal was great. Nice room with an outside area. Great location for exploring a beautiful village!

“Highly recommend the Antiga Hotel but only if you want a lot of peace and quiet.”
All the staff were wonderful and we really regretted not having enough Spanish to hold proper conversations. Salvadore was a great host. The gardens are fabulous and most of the time we had the pool entirely to ourselves. It's likely the hotel would be busier in July and August.

The garden came as a surprise, its beauty, size and location, in the centre of the village. In high season it might get busy with the attraction of the large swimming pool but in April it's a peaceful oasis. The hotel is run as an extended family especially when it comes to dinner where there is a discussion as to what will be cooked. Always a culinary adventure as long as you are willing to wait until after 8:30 pm to start the meal.

Brilliant garden with palm trees and a large pool, not what you expect in the centre of the town. The location suited me very well as it is as far from the bustle of the beach as possible and right next to the amazing castle. Staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast was ample and good and the dinner was always a pleasant surprise.
