“Good hotel, good ratio”

The location is great, just by the sea although we can’t swim cause there are no beaches. The staff was warm and explained us everything from the start. The restaurant is good. Very nice surroundings with a 🦥 in the tree! Free coffee in the afternoon which was great

Great hotel, with beautiful grounds! Saw so many creatures around the hotel, including frogs, sloths and lizards! Breakfast was wonderful, with fruit and homemade bread- so delicious!

Beautiful garden setting. Very comfortable beds with mosquito nets. Very clean with good shower. Villa 5 recommended for its lovely terrace. Good cocktails. Ability to book tours via the hotel.

“A special stay in Cahuita”

Hotel El Encanto is a beautiful hotel. The grounds are stunning and full of wildlife. They have a family of sloths who live there which is amazing! The pools were great and as you’re soaking up the sun the birds are flying all around you. The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfy. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We’d definitely recommend Hotel El Encanto!

Very helpful, wonderful staff. Lovely gardens & pools with iguanas, tree frogs, birds. Comfortable rooms with AC. If you're British - they have 24hr free tea ! 10min walk into town

“Great accomodation on the Carribian shore”

Carefully maintained garden with small pools. Several animals in the garden: slothes, leaping lizzards, tucans, iguanas, crabs etc. Nice sandy beach is 3 minutes walking. Extremely nice staff, full breakfast. We also took a coral teef tour offered by the hotel, it was a great experience.

Everything was perfect: the ambiance, service, la casita, the food, the garden. It's a very peaceful place, worth every cent! I would definitely come back if I have the opportunity. The front desk lady from the first day was very kind (the whole staff is). We moved to another location today and we're already nostalgic 🫠

“Perfect place to relax and spot animals! Our best experience in CR”

The Hotel location with its paradise garden is just the best. You can spot so many animals directly in the garden of the hotel. The location is perfect for going out and close to Cahuita National Park. We had few meals in the restaurant and the quality was excellent. The Staff is super friendly and helpful. They showed us many of the animals shortly after we arrived. There was a sloth mother with baby on their property. We stayed in this hotel twice and loved it.

Very close to Cahuita and walking distance to Cahuita National park. Very lovely and relaxing ambiance. Extremely friendly staff with excellent recommendations.

A charming complex, with animals to see right at the accommodation itself: we had two sloths above our house and some nice birds and frogs around the swimming pool.

A beautiful garden oasis, with comfortable bungalows and lovely pools- all the facilities you need , without the crowds. Ideally situated, easy 5 minutes stroll into small, laid-back town or to the National Park, or bus ride to more vibrant Puerto Viejo down the coast

Everything, perfect location, great rooms, excellent staff. Oh, and while we were there a mother sloth and her baby, and a male sloth were literally hanging around on the property. Marvellous.

“Loved our stay”

It’s a paradise! Green area, cosy chairs and hammocks, tranquil atmosphere and also some sloths living on one of the trees. The room was big and comfy. Air conditioner worked well, bed was comfy. Bathroom had shower gel and shampoo, hair dryer. We had a small balcony with jungle view. The hotel is located 5-7 min walk from the main street with all the restaurants. There is a coffee place just across the road located on the beach. 2 swimming pools were not so big, but clean and well-maintained. The service was very welcoming and good. Especially liked the sustainable water refill station and complimentary coffee&tea in the afternoon.
