“Great place to stay”
The location is amazing: in playa Negra, away from the fuss but still very close to the beach! In the middle of the jungle, you can see a lot of animals all around in the trees. We were lucky and had a sloth in front of us on our terrace as well as a howler monkey! Great staff, Ana and her husband were very very nice!!

All rooms are separate houses with a joint pool and jacuzzi. The rooms are spacious and clean. Very calm place, you can just relax by the pool and watch the birds and sloths. Or you can walk 2 mins to the beach where there are also couple of restaurants and bars.

“If returning to Cahuita we would be very happy to stay here again”
The layout of the property meant that each cabin retained its privacy. The ‘rules’ that stipulated you had to be quiet at certain times. Although the howler monkeys didn’t pay attention to this - which was a bonus! The swimming pool was very welcome. The washing machine was very useful. The location was quiet but close to playa Negro and easy walking distance to town and the national park.

“Holiday Refuge”
Staying in Casa Martina is like a holiday itself. On the patio many animals can be watched, the design and location are just perfect and the hosts are extremely friendly.

“nice relaxing place.”
Casa Martina is one of the cabins at New Caribe Point. It’s very nice with a private feel and dedicated garden area. unfortunately, the sloth wasn’t in residence while I was there but I had a very relaxing time. i loved being able to hear the sounds of the jungle at night but that may not be for everyone. I walked into Cahuita from here most of the time. it was only 15-20 minutes but you could drive or rent a bike and be there in no time. there are also a few good restaurants between New Caribe Point and Cahuita so you don’t necessarily need to go into town.

“Perfect hidden gem”
Everything was great: well equipped kitchen and little house overall, beautiful garden, clean pool and lots of animals! Playa Negra 2 minute walk away which we liked a lot more than Playa Blanca. Playa Blanca closes at 4pm and has lots of restrictions due to being part of the National Park. Playa Negra is not constrained and a perfect place for great swims, surfs and chilling. Eduardo was the kindest host, showing the sloths in the garden and some of the fruits he had.

So calm, spacious. There are two sloths near the bungalow. They rent bicycles and are located close to a bar with good Caribbean dishes and Playa Negra. Friendly staff even though they don't speak English. We could even work from there at night, good wifi.

“Very nice place”
Everyone was very helpful, keeping our bags when we had to leave before the check-in of the other hotel. The place was clean, comfy and cute. The sloth in the tree is even cuter !

“We saw more wildlife in our back yard than we did on a 12km walk through the national park.”
Very private space with your own yard full of plants and nature. Washing machine and clothesline. There are only three other rentals on the property so the pool and bbq areas are not ever crowded. Just a short 2min walk to the beach and a 10 min walk into town.

Exceptional hospitality! Even without English we have perfectly communicated with Anna and her husband who brought us fresh coconuts and bananas from time to time. A sloth was leaving few days just in front of our terrasse. Thanks also to Patricia for local hints!

“Amazing place!!”
We had our own bungalow with a full kitchen, indoor and outdoor table, hammock and use of the swimming pool. The woman who owns the place is so helpful and friendly! We loved the fact we could use the bikes to cycle around the local area. Casa Martina is next to the best beach in Cahuita and a sloth lives in the tree outside the room. We had such a relaxing stay and would recommend this property to anyone visiting Cahuita! 10/10
