First of all, Andrea and Samuel thank you very much for your hospitality and your kindness. We saw many animals in the garden every day: sloth, monkeys, agouti, and many birds. It was like the private national park:)The accomodations are comfortable, spacious, and have a well-equipped kitchen. If we ever return to Cahuita, we will definitely return to the same place.

“A quite paradise on earth”

A quite paradise on earth. Why go to the nationalpark when you can sit in the garden and see everything from sloths to monkeys? The staff are the kindest souls you will ever meet. My stay at Cabinas Algebra was the highlight of my trip in Costa Rica.

We loved the location.(off the noisy tourist area), but about 100m from Playa Grande, we loved the setting: in a wonderful garden with wild animals (we saw a sloth and howler monkeys)! The owners (Andrea and Samuel) were wonderful hosts, very friendly, helpful and warm-hearted, passionate about neture. The food in the restaurant was delicious and nicely presented. “Really nice place to stay for a few days on a budget and eat well.”

Breakfast was on order and what I had was really good. Very quiet beach nearby. Lovely garden, almost jungle-like in the corners, nice. Lots of plants and you could see different animals. Mosquito-net provided,, good! but not many mosquitoes anyways. Terrace with hammock, very enjoyable. Good people running the place.

For this price it is a perfect place to stay. Hosts are outstanding friendly, the location is amazing with a lush garden and close to a really nice beach. If a place still (in 2025) has the original (now fairly dirty) posters of how to handle covid on the door of the room, it tells you a lot about the eye for detail...

Andrea and Samuel will welcome you and take care of your stay with kindness and a smile. Delicious breakfast. Amazing location surrounded by pure jungle. Close to the sea, 10 min walk to the beach. Great value for money!

“A perfect base for exploring the area, with an incredibly warm welcome”

100m from Playa Grande and with a lovely 3km walk to Cahuita National Park past the famous Reggae Bar, the hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming to me. Meals and accommodation exceeded expectations, and I feel I've made good friends in the short time that I was there.

“We love it here!”

This was our second stay at Cabinas Algebra, returning after 16 months. I was pleasantly surprised to see the water pressure in the shower was improved. Which, after our first stay, was my only complaint. Now I have no complaints. This property is excellent value. A beautiful paradise in nature, nearby to the beach. The mother and son owners take excellent care of their guests and the on-site restaurant is really good. Highly recommended! We will be back!

Beautiful garden. We saw green macaws and different toekans early in the morning. Food in restaurant is excellent. Good bed and pillows. Spacious. Quiet location. Friendly helpful hosts. Good price.

Very nice place with nice owners. The location was perfect for me - 3 k"m from the city center but in a beautiful place in nature near one of the beaches . It's a good place to explore nature, especially at night . They have also a good restaurant with good prices.

I had an absolutely wonderful time staying here. The hosts Andrea and Samuel put so much into this place to make it special. Favourite bits- - Lovely hosts and staff who are happy to help with anything - Sitting in the hammock watching the wealth of wildlife go by - Big cabin with very comfy bed - The fish curry at their onsite restaurant - Great location in the heart of nature. I particularly loved the beautiful Playa Grande which is 5 mins walk away - Their dog Ruby :)

Very nice host, made us a welcome smoothie and was very helpful. Very big room with wardrobes and fully equipped kitchen. Room cleaning every day. Sloths hanging in the street and aguti in the garden.

“Sweet place for a people who seek a quiet place next to the beach”

The Cabinas are in a big garden with a lot of wild animals walking by every now and then. It's far enough away from the restaurant, so you won't hear a thing. Staff is very nice and helpful.

Beautiful garden and surrounding jungle. Very close to beach. Staff were exceptional, made us feel at home. Food was the best we had in Costa Rica.

Incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts. We really liked the accommodation and the wildlife in the garden.
