Jano Puerto Tierro was exceptional in so many ways. The accommodation was sparkling, clean and incredibly comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom complete with laundry, washing machine, microwave, oven, kettle, stove, and more. The air conditioning worked beautifully as did the overhead fan. Although I did not use it, the hosts even provided access to the roof to dry clothing and beach towels and umbrellas. The location was absolutely perfect, in the old historic city and a five minute walk from the ocean and a beach. It was walking distance to all of the key historical monuments. But honestly, the best part of the accommodation was the hosts. Not only did incredibly sweet Violeta and her charming son Theo meet me at the apartment to give me the keys and introduce me to all aspects of the apartment, but they went above and beyond. I broke my foot and needed surgery in a Cadiz hospital. The hospitality of Violeta and Theo that they showed me was absolutely astonishing. Violeta and Theo came to the hospital to check on me even though it was almost impossible for them to find me there. They offered to bring anything I might need such as food or a phone charger. Violeta stayed apprised of the progress of my surgery while I was in the hospital and after the hospital set me up in the apartment by tidying up all of my things so that I could more easily pack them and even going to the pharmacy for me and bringing me with her to pick up the prescriptions I needed. Theo went to the grocery store to pick up food that I needed. The next morning Violata picked me up at 5:30 AM so that I could make my 6:30 AM train. She helped me to get the wheelchair assistance that I needed. She treated me like beloved family. I was so touched and moved by her and Theo’s generosity of spirit, kindness, compassion, and humility. When I thanked her, she said this is just what people do for each other. I recommend JanoPuerto Tierra wholeheartedly with no reservations!!

“A wonderful Christmas stay”

The Jano PuertoTierra was just perfect in every way. Although compact and bijou it has everything we needed. Lots of lovely little touches showed the love and attention to detail that the owner had put into making the apartment a true home from home. It is very close to the station, on a quiet street, just on the edge of the old city. Easy walking distance from the beach and all Cadiz's sites and sounds.

“The best Palace for a visit to Cádiz”

We were welcomed by Violeta and her son. He speaks English very well and explains everything about the appartment. Everything you need is there. Next to that you get to know the best places to visit. Violeta knows them all and if you have a question she is always available with the best advise.

The host brought her son who could speak our language better. They both seemed excited to have us and very helpful in offering good suggestions.

the host is very nice & thoughtful! She prepared everything including seasonings as well as sun screen. Even beach chairs & umbrella are provided. Can hang the laundry on the rooftop & all dried after one hour. Location is very convenient!
