“Perfect spot to wind down and re-connect with nature”

Secluded, calm, friendly, great views, clean and all the luxury you need without the excess of a resort. Food was great, a few good dishes to choose from and great refreshing cocktails. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Lovely and friendly staff, eager to help and give recommendations. A lot of wildlife at this location, easy to spot and makes for a feeling of immersing yourself into Costa Rica nature. The staff is really knowledgeable about wildlife. The rescue centre was really interesting and happy to say that it is responsibly managed, tourists are not allowed to interact with the animal so that they can be re-introduced to the wild.

This place exceeded our expectations! We wish we could stay longer than one night! The area is great and so green. Room was specious with a very comfortable bed and stunning balcony view. We woke up to watch the sunrise from the top floor and it was spectacular! Celeste from reception and bartender Mark were so nice and welcoming. They made our stay special. Thank you! Also we had a morning swim in a pool and a drink at the bar later in the evening. Breakfast was great, with eggs, fresh, orange juice and fruits. It was our best stay in Costa Rica. We felt so relaxed.

“Not a rescue center – misleading promotion of the experience”

The staff are very kind and friendly. In particular, the bartender and the driver were genuinely welcoming and helpful. The Wi-Fi is excellent. The surrounding nature is beautiful, although not especially remarkable compared to places like Uvita or Montezuma.

“Inexpensive and absolutely fantastic”

Our stay at the Jungle Lodge at Wild Sun Rescue Center was one of the best we have ever had. The diversity of wildlife is incredible, and the stunning location overlooking the rainforest is simply fantastic. The rooms are very spacious, and we especially appreciated the refrigerator in the heat. Marc at the bar was always extremely helpful and let us know immediately whenever he spotted birds or monkeys. The breakfast included in the price was excellent and very varied – during our four-night stay we had something different every day. We especially enjoyed the fresh local fruits and juices. Highly recommended!

The amount of wildlife in the garden alone is unbelievable; macaws, monkeys, iguana, hummingbirds... The bed was huge & very comfortable. Shower with hot & cold water. Beautiful pool. Breakfast was fantastic & different every day, bought to the patio area outside your room.

The location is great, nice and secluded with a great view. They do amazing work helping the animals. Communication is easy via WhatsApp and you can walk to some restaurants in 15-20 minutes or use a car when you have it. The road is doable, we did it without a 4x4. National Park Cabo Blanco is closed on some days, so check it when you want to go there.

We had a lovely time over Christmas 2024. Nice room (fabulous bathroom), nice view, wonderful pool and scarlet macaws and aracaris in the trees - what's not to like?

The rooms are directly in the nature. Breakfast and meals are served at your room. They are doing fantastic work with the animals.

It s in the jungle and you see all kinds of birds and animals. The pool in the midst of it all is refreshing. The owner was kind to not charge the fee when we shifted the date. We appreciated that.

It is in the middle of the jungle, with views of the ocean and animals everywhere. They are doing a good thing rehabilitating animals. The pool was awesome, bed was big and comfortable.

high quality rooms on the 2nd floor with fantastic views. wonderful breakfast serviced on the terrace. Loud howler monkey noises added to ambience! Morning tour was fantastic. A favorite place to stay on our trip! We ate on the beach at Cabala resort - recommended. A parade of animals! Took a dip in the small pool.

Such an experience. Beautifully located in the jungle with views of the oceans. Papagayo and monkeys from the pool. Breakfast in front of your room and you are supporting the rescue center.

The wonderful setting amidst fantastic wildlife. The scarlet macaws, howler monkeys, whitehead monkeys, iguana's. All this out of our very comfortable room with terrace. Very friendly and helpfull staff.

The excellent location surrounded by rescued and free living wild animals, and fantastic connection with nature in this quiet place. Montezuma and other atractive places at a glimpse. A dedicated staff offering but the best.
