Overview
Surrounded by greenery and hills at the bottom of the Sangelle Valley and offering an outdoor pool and free breakfast, Oasis Paraiso Ecolodge is located in Cabanaconde. Cabanaconde can be reached in 3 hours, by foot, horse or mule only. The rooms are simple, with brightly coloured bedspreads and walls. Each features a private or shared bathroom and towels and linen are included. You can enjoy a mountain view and a garden view from all the rooms. Please note that electricity is available from 6pm to 9pm only. From Oasis Paraiso Ecolodge you can go trekking to explore the canyon and Colca River. There is an onsite restaurant, games room and tour desk. The front desk can provide tourist information. The city of Arequipa is reached in 6 hours by car. Rodríguez Ballón International Airport is an 8-hour car ride from Oasis Paraiso Ecolodge.

“A welcoming and homely experience.”
Jorge made us feel right at home for our 1 night stay. We mistakenly thought we were 3 people for the booking but only ended up being 2 and he was completely understanding and charged us for 2 instead. The property is just a short 4 minute from the centre plaza. Jorge also let us store our big backpacks while we hiked and stayed in the canyon for a night. He also let us shower when we came back before we hopped on our bus which was very kind of him. Breakfast is included in the booking as well which was great before we headed off early.

Friendly staff with good english, decent breakfast with pancakes, jam, tea/coffee, fruit. You can order dinner for 25 soles (vegetarian, we got spaghetti with pumpkin sauce) or 30 soles (with meat, usually chicken). The pool is nice! We got towels, soap and and toilet paper for free.

The location is stunning within the canyon. The swimming pool was clean and the perfect temperature after a long hike. Dinner was delicious and the staff friendly. They also have two very sweet puppies, which is always a bonus!

“Pretty cool place considering where it is”
Stayed our 2nd night here in the canyon. What a beautiful oasis. Refreshing swim in the pool, green grass is a nice contrast to the surrounding landscape. Room was good, comfortable bed, good shower, nice dinner and breakfast. Friendly host and staff

“Refused to refund after double payment”
We had trouble paying at the end of our stay due to connection issues with their payment system. We tried to pay a few times by card, and when they told us it did not come through we paid by cash. Afterwards we saw that the payment did actually come through, and when trying to get our money back they refused, gave us excuses for weeks and finally just hung up and went radio silent on us. We were sad to have had this experience with them - the stay was actually nice but they are clearly in the game of scamming their customers. Would definitely recommend NOT to go there.

“Incredible, beautiful, serene and awe inspiring”
Our stay here was absolutely incredible. Our room had the most magnificent view, everything was clean, the pool and the grounds were immaculately maintained. This place was the highlight of our trip. When you realize that each piece of furniture and material had to brought down the canyon manually one by one, you really appreciate all the amenities that you have. Just incredible.

The location was very nice, all the flora around was stunning and the pool was handy as well. I have to add the points to the owner because he gave us a room with private bathroom for the same price as a room with shared bathroom. :-) Thanks a lot again!

“Enjoyed it, would recommend it!”
Food was very nice for after a long day of hiking! The area also looked very nice, especially with the pool and the waterfall. Communication was also straight the point.
